Put back the 2007 section.[edit]

Hi Drakhan. Do you work for Lego or on some level, BZPower? Editing out the 2007 listings is not called for, as the past shows new set names have remained nearly identical in every year of Bionicle's existence. Who are you working for? The people who come to wiki for information, or Lego, BZP or whoever else censors things before THEY think people should know of?--PurpleDORK 16:26, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Toa"Mata"[edit]

Hello Drakhan,

Could you please provide evidence for this edit, specifically that the name Toa Mata is official. That has never been stated by Greg. --TorriTorri 17:02, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

These Toa team name appear in Bionicle Atlas. Now are official name. Antidermis2319 22:23, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dome vs. Cavern[edit]

'Ello, Drakhan. I couldn't think of any other way of issolatin' this comment to you 'sides PM on BZP, but thought I'd say this here. In a recent edit of yours (On the Barraki page), I noticed that you changed the word "dome" to "cavern." Why? The correct term is "dome" - it's what most fans call it, it's what Greg calls it... Etc. ElectricTurahk 02:25, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BoM Mutants[edit]

Woah, why did you remove all of the BoM mutant information? I put it all back in with sources and everything. It is accurate. Why remove it?

Kanoka[edit]

I asked Greg (again) about the Elemental Kanohi made from Toa Disks, and I'm just wondering, should the old Mask of Destiny link be replaced with this link? --Rabin 16:06, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing page[edit]

I fixed some of the text on your talk page, so the text isn't so tiny. ; ) --Rabin 21:15, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Metru Nui[edit]

Drakhan: Something was recently added to the Metru Nui page about how to get there; and I don't think that it should stay, seeing as that information is already mentioned there or on similar pages. So I would just like to know whether you would like it removed, so that one of us could get around to that matter. So if you could please look at it, and either give me your oppinion on my talk page, or take action yourself, I would be most grateful. Thank you. Gravitan 12:02, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, sorry about that; I was under the impression that you were a mod. Anyhow, I wasn't sure about it either, which is why I asked you. It wasn't so much that I had an idea, just that I thought that you could come to a decision faster than I could. That's just my style: If I can't fix it or make up my mind about it myself, I defer it to someone who can, so that I may move on to other issues. You have been with this site longer than I have and seem to know what's best for it, so I passed the decision to you; it's as simple as that. And being that you seem to know what's best, for the time being you may consider yourself my "superior", of sorts; meaning that if you remove any content I added, I will most likely not object. (And by the way, if you decide to keep that bit, I suggest you clean it up and expand it a little.) -- -- Gravitan 16:44, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Karzahni[edit]

Drakhan: Could you please cite the source for the "Go to Karzahni" bit. I removed it because I find it a little odd that Greg would have Matoran saying something like that. You don't have to reply to this, I would just like to know where the info came from. Thank you. -- -- Gravitan 22:18, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alas, I don't have Bionicle World, so I wouldn't know. Anyways, thanks for clearing that up. -- -- Gravitan 22:34, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

Hey, Drakhan, do ya think you could help me out with the copyright stuff for this image? ElectricTurahk 23:48, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for the help with that, Drakhan. ET and I are very much in your debt. :) -- -- Gravitan 11:32, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Makuta=Maxilos[edit]

Yeah, it's been confirmed. ;) BL#7. Though, like I've said before, I don't know anything about Wikipedia's spoiler policy, so it might not be allowed yet... ElectricTurahk 10:23, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There really isn't a spoiler policy here, so go ahead and add it. Just make sure the info goes under a spoiler tag. And you're probably going to want to source this one, just so that everyone knows where it came from. -- -- Gravitan 01:13, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Spoiler War[edit]

Roger that, Drakhan. These people are really ticking me off. Those pages need spoilers and they WILL have them. And I have a feeling they're adding those in-universe and original research tags just to try to keep us from restoring the spoilers. But I have a mind to just remove at least the original research tags, because I have seen the sources. We had better just stick this one out. -- -- Gravitan 22:04, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring[edit]

Hi, just a caution against edit warring. There is a policy known as the three revert rule, and by making four reverts on Toa in the past twenty four hours you have broken it [2] [3] [4] [5]. This is blockable disruption, but don't worry, I won't report it if you don't. --Tony Sidaway 23:46, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Toa lesovikk.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Toa lesovikk.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Durin 21:51, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

...[edit]

I am sorry, but I am finding it much too difficult to stay here as an editer, hence my language. Cooperation is at a minimum, and there is little to no consenus involved when dealing with such situations as thes spoiler tags and images. As such, I have chosen to end my involvement in such disputes. I will continue to monitor my watch list, for there are other pages I contribute to that do not have this problem, so if there is a problem on a Bionicle page regarding vandalism, I will still be here to fix that. I thought you might like to know. Good luck with coming up with the rationale for those 100-something images (I'd start with Rahi, then go to the Toa Mata and Toa Metru pages. Those are on the list to be cleared soon, too.), and good-by. ElectricTurahk 21:13, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and I've finally regained (Sort of...) access to the BS01 Wiki, so I see no need to argue here when it'll have no point. The BS01 Wiki beats this place any day for Bionicle articles (Which it should, being a Bionicle-based wiki). ElectricTurahk 22:04, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, sorry if I'm bugging you, but could you do me a favor? Keep an eye on Swirlex for me and perhaps try to explain to him why the pages of his aren't needed. He is also the cause of some of my distress... I just can't get through to him. ElectricTurahk 01:23, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Vezon Fenrakk.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Vezon Fenrakk.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. EliminatorJR Talk 13:47, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:"Unsourced"[edit]

.*sigh* Yeah, I've been deleting stuff that I am fully aware is true; and you're right, I should have used the tag if anything was unsourced. But with all of these people (who are in my opinion) decreasing the quality of our articles, the last thing I wanted was a tag that points it out. And part of it is that I'm starting to feel like ET does about this place. Now I try very hard to keep my cool, but my patience has been (and is) running out much quicker than I would like. So I figured that it was better (and easier for me) to just delete the stuff for a little while until it was sourced, rather than have a big ugly tag on the page. Well, I hope I've made myself clear enough, and you have my apologies if I've caused any trouble. -- -- Gravitan 21:26, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, one of those, huh? I've been wondering what those were for. I though you were talking about the big "original research" tags. And I'm getting a little stressed, yeah, but I can handle it. I just need to relax a little, that's all, then I should be fine. But I'll take your advice and give myself a break from Wikipedia for the rest of the day; I might make an edit or two, but only if I feel that I have to. Thanks. -- -- Gravitan 22:19, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Vakama.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vakama.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:42, 3 July 2007 (UTC). Lego Binoicle Promo images[edit]

Re: Lego Bionicle Promo Images[edit]

I assume you are referring to the Toa Metru images when you ask if I can name the source. I'm afraid that I can't, as I did not upload them and the original uploader did not provide his source. I have near-identical pictures that I downloaded from Bionicle.com, though; I would upload them instead but they're in .bmp format. Would that be all right, or do pictures have to be .jpg or .png? Drakhan 14:52, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See previous semi-auto comments, But in general yeah if you have sourced images they are prefferable over unsourced,

they would have to be in 'free' formats (.ie Jpg) for upload to wikipedia, and of considerbaly reduced resoloution compared to the original. Also remember to write an in depth fair use rationale for the images, something a lot of people are forgetting to do recently :( . ShakespeareFan00 16:00, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable images of Lego figurines[edit]

Hello. I have some bad news. I know you've been working hard on Bionicle articles, and you've uploaded dozens of promotional images of the figurines. Unfortunately, we cannot accept these images. Our non-free content policy says we can only use a non-free image if it would be impossible to create a free image to replace it. In all these images, someone could construct the figurines out of Legos and photograph them, and then release those photos under a free license. For that reason, we can't use non-free images of the figurines, even if the non-free ones look better.

I'm sorry you were asked to go through the trouble of providing fair-use rationales on these images. No matter what the rationale, we can't use them. Here is a list of the images I have tagged as replaceable:

Mahri Vid[edit]

Is it notable in the Toa Inika/Mahri article that the song 'Crashed' by DAUGHTRY was used in the Toa Mahri movie? (you may need to refresh the page a couple times to see the movie) Actually, the version on Bioniclestory.com has the song, not the bionicle.com version. Sorry. --Rabin 14:04, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

I think I figured out what was wrong... And it's total bull shit.

We didn't have sources. How messed up is that? --~|ET|~(Talk|Contribs) 15:55, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Messed up is right. But now we've got a new problem. If we re-upload the images to add the sources, someone might try to nail us for recreating deleted material. The best way around this is to get permission from an admin beforehand. But who would we contact? ^demon is who first comes to mind, but he's rouge, so maybe Quadell... -- Gravitan(Talk | Contribs) 16:41, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MoD Link[edit]

Hey, Drakhan. After discussing this with one of Moddy's admins, who was in contact with the editors, we have come to conclusion to have the link to MoD but not tBoM. I don't know if you'll agree, or the Wikipedia admins for that matter, but it does make sense to have those two. Both have been recognized by LEGO and are "deserving" of a link. --~|ET|~(Talk|Contribs) 14:57, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Leaving[edit]

Hello, Drakhan. Just here to inform you that I am now semi-retired from editing on Wikipedia. My place is on BS01. It's been great working with you, and I'm sure you can take care of the BIONICLE pages without myself and ET (who is also retiring). I'll be stopping in once in a while though, just to see how things are going. Thank you, and goodbye. -- Gravitan(Talk | Contribs) 21:28, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Toa_lesovikk.png[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Toa_lesovikk.png. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 14:20, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see now Drakhan. Thank you for telling me your point. But do you think rahi could be in their? Swirlex (talk) 13:09, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

True Info?[edit]

Hello Drakhan its me Swirlex. I wanted to tell you that I read the comments on Phantoka's talk page and wanted to help you with the debate. Plus I found a few links that confirm the information. Look here [6], here [7], here [8], and here [9]. Hope it will help. Happy Editing!Swirlex (talk) 14:03, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Than Drakhan who is going to take care of the Bionicle pages? It seems as thought Gravitan and Electricturahk stopped because of peer pressure and stress from othwer Wikipedians. I know I'm going to stay on Wikipedia no matter what happens to me. I think you should stay to Drakhan, and be strong despite others comments. Hope you will stay, your a great editor.Swirlex (talk) 16:16, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Piraka, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Great Beings[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Great Beings, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Great Beings. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Makuta Vortex.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Makuta Vortex.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
