January 2014[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits to Charlotte Douglas International Airport has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

You claimed that the "sources" were not operational, yet only one of the three references in that section is dead. So wholesale blanking of that section is completely inappropriate and careless on your behalf. Further, Caribbean-region media commonly has story after story about service problems and customer complaints regarding LIAT. So much, if not all, of the information in that section is verifiable, and so blanking is improper on that basis as well. See policy at WP:PRESERVE. postdlf (talk) 14:31, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What you said in the regard to the edits I made on the LIAT pages were false. One source was dead while the other said nothing about the staff, baggage, departing without passengers, and baggage. Obviously this section cannot stay because it's obvious the claims are from someone's experiences and not from a source. Moved from my talk page; keep this together in one thread, as I have your talk page watchlisted. You're still not doing this carefully. You removed all mention of the 2010 strike and the relevant Antigua Observer reference (your comment above suggests you didn't even notice there were three sources in the paragraph). The nicknames you removed are expressly mentioned in the HuffPost link. What else do you think you missed? And you've ignored what I said about WP:PRESERVE and what is verifiable. In any event, do you at least finally agree that completely removing the entire section was not the proper way to handle the one dead link? postdlf (talk) 17:10, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The nicknames are also supported by CNN ("Disgruntled customers regularly say LIAT stands for Languishing In Airport Terminals, Luggage In Another Terminal or Leaving Island Any Time."). And as I said above, you need to look at regional media, which apparently you haven't bothered to research.[3] ("LIAT has been under pressure in recent times following weeks of long and inordinate delays as well as cancellations..."); [4]; [5] ("LIAT...has come under severe criticism from the travelling public."); [6] postdlf (talk) 21:13, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's not relevant. No other airline page says anything about nicknames by passengers. All airlines lose bags, have mean flight attendants, have delays etc. But if you just put conjecture that they frequently lose bags, cancel flights with people not on them, then you need numbers. What percentage of flights are delayed, how many "surly" flight attendants are there. You have no numbers to show anything and it's not relevant. If there was a customer satisfaction survey that would be great, but that's not what you cited.Drewax11 (talk) 23:56, 5 January 2014 (UTC) Also it mentions the troubles of 2013 in the incidents and accidents section. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Eurotunnel Shuttle may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
