Copyright, notability, original research
[edit]Assertion of authorship, or of permission to reproduce, is not enough, for two reasons:
- We cannot be sufficiently certain that someone on the end of a wire is who they say or has the authority they claim.
- Release to Wikipedia involves more than just permission to reproduce: our CC-BY-SA license allows any reader to copy, modify, and re-use for any purpose including commercial, and it is essential that the actual copyright holder understands and agrees to that. I see that as well as bearing a copyright note in your name, the source page is also labelled "© Copyright 2003-2012 Universities of Essex and Manchester. All rights reserved."
For details, see Wikipedia:Copyrights#Contributors' rights and obligations. There are ways to make a suitable copyright release, explained at WP:Donating copyrighted materials. Read that carefully, and note the section headed "Wikipedia does not publish original research", which leads to my next point.
Can you give references to independent comment about your study? As an encyclopedia, one of Wikipedia's fundamental policies is WP:No original research, which includes: "If no reliable third-party sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article about it." That links to the Wikipedia:Notability requirement for articles to show that their subjects have had "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." See also WP:NOR#Primary, secondary and tertiary sources.
The links in the Welcome message above will tell you more about Wikipedia: WP:Your first article is a good introduction to what an acceptable article needs.
