Peer Review of The West Wing[edit]

I have started a peer review of The West Wing at Wikipedia:Peer review/The West Wing (television) and I invite you to take part in the discussion and help make the necessary changes as the community as a whole reviews the work that we have all done together on this article. Thank you very much for your work on the article! -Scm83x 08:42, 24 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You, or any Wikipedia user, can contribute your suggestions and comments to the /Workshop page of any active arbitration case. Comments on evidence or proposals can help in understanding the import of evidence and in refining proposals. Proposed principles, findings of fact, or remedies may be listed on /Proposed decision and form part of the final decision. Fred Bauder 14:26, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Chilled out[edit]

I note your comments about British English on your page. Perhaps you can bring some light to Chile pepper (see the bottom of it's talk page). Cheers - Xed 18:56, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

That's not light - Xed 08:53, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Since you have supported me during my RfA, I wonder if you could review and comment on the RfA for Halibutt, the first person I have nominated myself. There seem to be a heated debate and votes of experienced, unbiased editors would be appreciated. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 17:12, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have put The West Wing article up as a candidate for featured article status. I appreciate your help in this article's peer review. Your input and support in the FAC located here would be appreciated! Thanks! -Scm83x 08:55, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright tag[edit]

We need a copyright tag on Image:Dorothyfields2.gif. Please add one, I assume you know all the standard boilerplate. JesseW, the juggling janitor 00:37, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

Arbcom candidate userbox[edit]

Greetings. I've made a new userbox for arbcom candidates to show on their userpages so that visiters will know they're running.

{{User arbcom nom}}

If you'd like to place it on your userpage, feel free. Regards, – Quadell (talk) (bounties) 02:16, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Another image[edit]

Do you want to keep Image:Blankfazepolitical.png? Stan 06:13, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This might seem gratuitous[edit]

But I am rarely wrong about these things (User_talk:Blankfaze/archive11#Notice_of_intention_to_mediate). If you had listened to me then you might have, in the intervening time, grown to become Arbcom-Worthy. JDG 19:41, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is probably your single biggest stumbling block: an inability to see the difference between a reported public POV and an editor's POV. This sort of slippage on fundamental edit-logic simply cannot sit on the ArbCom. JDG 06:22, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't care about the difference. POV of either type doesn't have a place, MUCH LESS in the lead of an article. {{User:Blankfaze/sig}} 06:16, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User page award[edit]

Congratulations, Dscos/archive17! Your user page has been nominated for the Esperanza User Page Award! Five judges will look over your user page and award it 1-10 points in four categories:

  • Attractiveness: general layout, considering colour scheme and/or use of tables if applicable
  • Usefulness: links to subpages or editing aids, helpful information
  • Interesting-ness: quirky, unique, captivating, or funny content
  • General niceness: at the judges' discretion

But first, you must be chosen as a finalist. If your user page is chosen as one of the five finalists, you'll have the chance to win an award created just for having a great user page!

More information can be found on this page.

A user in despair[edit]

I am in desperate need of assistants. Catstail (talkcontribs) and a cohort of new users and anonymous Ips have for seven days inserted un-sourced and unverifiable information on the Flemming Rose page. I have in seven days asked (read the talk page) to source their insertions. None of them does (I believe most of them are Catstail anyway). Could I ask a helping hand, maybe lock this page for anonymous Ip and new user edit? At least give a 3rd party opinion? Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Thomas Hamilton.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. adnghiem501 07:28, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spoken articles[edit]

Hello! I am seeking assistance in getting involved in the spoken articles project. I noticed your name on the project page and was hoping you might be able to help. Other than downloading Audacity, I have yet to get into the project; I need some guidance on equipment and how to use the software. Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Image Tagging for Image:Carl_Weiss.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Carl_Weiss.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see User talk:Carnildo/images. 08:35, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

:-) --Rebroad 17:55, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could you weigh in at the bottom of the Talk Page for Katelyn Faber regarding the inclusion of an image of her? User:Tufflaw, who unsuccessfully tried to have the entire article deleted back in December 2005 insists on censoring/deleting it for extremely specious reasons, and I've been asked to gather a consensus. Thanks. Nightscream 18:28, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
