Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:09, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Satellite Spies

[edit]

Hello, and thanks for your edits to Satellite Spies. The content you've added about the history of the band hasn't got any references: can you please have a read of WP:Verifiability? Thanks, Lone boatman (talk) 09:12, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Satellite Spies, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Lone boatman (talk) 09:12, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Satellite Spies, you may be blocked from editing. Valenciano (talk) 09:15, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Satellite Spies shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Lone boatman (talk) 09:16, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 3 days for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. JohnCD (talk) 09:22, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In case you didn't read....

[edit]

what I posted on the talk page last year:

First read this article before you write here in support of one side or the other in this little dispute.

Every time you post here you make yourself/your friend looks less like "A guy who was part of a band in the 80s" and more like "An idiot who has been PUBLICLY feuding for 25 years over ownership of a crappy band name".

In summary, please move on with your lives and encourage other members/friends to do so. The rest of us who don't care will keep this a nice, bland article similar to what we have now. - SimonLyall (talk) 10:12, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Satellite Spies, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Nothing on the page you linked to can be construed as licence to delete a well sourced discography. If you think there are any genuine errors in the discography take them to the talk page where neutral editors can assess them. Daveosaurus (talk) 03:08, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
