May I remind all editors of the following:

[edit]

Editors must take particular care adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page. Such material requires a high degree of sensitivity, and must adhere strictly to all applicable laws in the United States and to all of our content policies.

Biographies of living persons must be written conservatively, with regard for the subject's privacy. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a tabloid paper.

The possibility of harm to living subjects is one of the important factors to be considered when exercising editorial judgment.

Wikipedia is a high-profile, widely-viewed website with an international scope, which means that material we publish about living people can affect their lives and the lives of their families, colleagues, and friends.

In biographies of living people, material available solely in questionable sources or sources of dubious value should be handled with caution, and, if derogatory, should not be used at all, either as sources or via external links.

The fundamental rule in any social space is: don't be a dick, and fundamental to that guideline is that it applies to you more than to supposed behaviours by others.

Biographies of living persons must be of high quality and are judged by a higher standard than for other articles.
