Hey

[edit]

I'm sorry, last time you sent me a message, I was blocked by mistake. After the unblock, I forgot to reply to you, so sorry for that. First, thanks for stopping by. I'm quite busy in real life, but yeh, I would really like to expand some articles. I started working on Rohini Hattangadi and Shabana Azmi but somehow left the articles midway. I wanted to improve the Shahrukh Khan article and there too I started doing some work but I'm let down by the thought that this would need very hard work because he is such a popular actor. I would also love to work on some movie articles of Satyajit Ray, like Mahanagar and Charulata but I often find myself struggling with little time. And when I do have time, I am a bit skeptical about what I should do first.:) It's sad that Pather Panchali has remained only a GA despite some really good work done by you and other editors. I hope you do have time to complete it in the future. Did you know that Sholay is a GA now? Well, the project is improving, though these are quite baby steps. Anyway, I'm sure your time is much more limited and believe me, you are really missed on Wikipedia. Please do come more often and let me know if I can help you with anything. Indian Postal Service

[edit]

I recently added a history section to the article Indian Postal Service, but from a single source. I will try to add more references. Meanwhile, regarding the article organization you suggested here. I think it would be better if the non-postal services section was divided into 2 sections, namely "Insurance Services" and "Banking Services". Another section "Other Services" may be added if required. Please comment.--Siddhartha Ghai (talk) 13:11, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Information and related post on Dr. Subash Mukherji

[edit]

hello, I am rupam from chennai. Today 27-03-2011 i came across a cover story in week about kanupriya the second test tube baby and india's first. On reading the article i came to know about Dr. Subhas Mukherji and his contribution and passion towards his research and a tragic death. I am messaging you in context of the search i made in google for Dr. Subhas which landed me to you in wikipedia. Its unfortunate i could not gather anything more on his work or life.

I would appreciate you greatly if you kindly help me out to know about Dr. Subash more.

Waiting for your reply eagerly. Regards Rupam Chakrborty. P.S: this message is not informative about the topic. Its a request to know more about the topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rupam.chakraborty (talkcontribs) 02:16, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're invited to the New York Wiknic!

[edit]
You could be having this much fun! Seriously, consider coming.

This message is being sent to inform you of a Wikipedia picnic that is being held in your area next Saturday, June 25. From 1 to 8 PM or any time in between, join your fellow volunteers for a get together at Norman's Landscape (directions) in Manhattan's Central Park.

Take along your friends (newbies permitted), your family and other free culture enthusiasts! You may also want to pack a blanket, some water or perhaps even a frisbee.

If you can, share what you're bringing at the discussion page.

Also, please remember that this is the picnic that anyone can edit so bring enough food to share!

About: Kolkata

[edit]

Hi Dwaipayanc!
I don’t want to sound unfriendly; Kolkata is known as the football city there isn’t any doubt about it and also known as the city of stadiums which consists more 15 stadiums and two of the biggest stadiums in the world. Also you didn’t cite any references and instead removed my reference. If you think that there are many things beyond my knowledge, I will agree to you but not regarding this or anything of my interest. Moreover, that was added long back and you are now removing it now which is not really justified. If you have any source you should cite it for others convenience. Thanks!

I suggest to discuss on it in the article's talk page! --Tito Dutta (Talk) 10:04, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I too didn’t find any except the iloveinda website, but it was present on the article before the removal so I just wanted to support the article. Regards. Guitarist(talk|contributions)04:11, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:NayakUttam.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:NayakUttam.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:14, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Indian people of Bangladeshi descent

[edit]

Category:Indian people of Bangladeshi descent and Bangladeshi Indian needs urgent discussion. I have started the discussion in two talk pages - Talk:Bangladeshi_Indian and User_talk:Ragib. BengaliHindu (talk) 06:23, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, it would have made sense if the category was named "Indian people of East Bengal descent". Thank you for editing Bangladeshi Indian so that it may not be confused with Bangal. I have removed Rabindranath's name from the list after Ragib accepted that he not a Bangladeshi. But I think others should be removed from the list as well.
