April 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Christian rock has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.myspace.com/dannywoodlief.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:23, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll add to this bot announcement: Christian rock is not the same as electronic. You might want to investigate List of Christian electronic/dance artists. However, I am about to clean that list up and artists without articles will be removed as per WP:NOTLINK and WP:NOTDIR. They will likely placed on its talk page just as a record. All band/artist articles must meet the criteria listed in WP:BAND. So there's bit of homework for you. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:54, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page List of Christian electronic/dance artists do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to List of Christian hip hop and rap artists. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

It's not. Please look at WP:BAND and if you meet the criteria, add an article about yourself. If not, please wait until you meet the criteria. But please stop trying to indicate you're an important figure in Christian music when you're not, yet. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:19, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to List of Christian electronic/dance artists. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to List of Christian rock bands, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. A tag has been placed on Danny Woodlief, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Александр Дмитрий (Alexandr Dmitri) (talk) 03:59, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Danny Woodlief requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. May 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Danny Woodlief, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. The template indicates "do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself". Danny, I'm sorry but you as an artist do not meet WP:BAND. When you do, and I hope it's soon, please add, or have your publicist add, an article about yourself. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:20, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Now that you've added the {{hangon}}, you need to give your reasons on Talk:Danny Woodlief. If you don't, the request will be ignored. Remember, you need to make your case based on the material listed in WP:BAND. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:24, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
