I like the images you uploaded to Fancy rat, especially the one under Health, it's a great replacement to the older over-exposed version. That being said, I was hoping you might move File:HPIM1922.JPG to a more descriptive name. However, I'm not sure about the value of File:Twinkle Brown Hooded.JPG. An overhead shot against a plain background would be more helpful in showing the features of a hooded. We used to have an image of a hooded, File:Cloudtherat1.jpg, but becasue it didn't show off the marking well, and had a busy background, it was removed - your image has these same problems, while admittedly is of better quality. To prevent the article from becoming a gallery of peoples' cute ratties, strict standards need to be maintained and the inclusion of an image needs to demonstratively improve the article. Personally (my own opinion), I don't think we really need an image of a hooded - most people see them all the time in pet stores, and it's fairly simple to explain. but in the same vein i can see some value in adding a high quality image as it typifies the pet rat. on another note, I would love to get a good free image of a downunder (no hands, plain/simple background, on hind legs to show off the marking) -ΖαππερΝαππερ BabelAlexandria 17:13, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hooded rat image at Fancy rat#Varieties[edit]

Hi eliot! i noticed you restored the image of your rat after i had taken it down. Perhaps you weren't aware of the discussion i started at Talk:Fancy rat#Hooded image. i wish you had responded after i mentioned the problems with the current image - unhelpful and probably unneeded. If you disagree with my reasoning i invite you to present your reasoning on the aforementioned talk page. Cheers! -ΖαππερΝαππερ BabelAlexandria 04:24, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

great improvement with Image:Twinkle-full.jpg. The back of your couch will work fine. however, the main concern was how helpful the image was, and this is still a side view of Twinkle. Perhaps you could let her on your bed or the floor and shoot an aerial view so that we see the stripe better. -ΖαππερΝαππερ BabelAlexandria 01:47, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Shires Lynx[edit]

A tag has been placed on Shires Lynx, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
