Welcome![edit]

Hello, ESP2016, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, especially your edits to Ludwig Leichhardt. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

October 2016[edit]

Please do not use Wikipedia for affiliate marketing. This is contrary to the guidelines on external links and immediately suggests that you may have a conflict of interest. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia policy to learn more about this project and how you can make a positive impact. Thank you. Stop icon This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. @Zackmann08: Thanks for your comments. We are a non-commercial, educational platform providing open-access, peer-reviewed material on the field of environmental humanities. We are adding a link to relevant content on our portal to Wikipedia Articles that could profit from our literature and texts. All we are doing is providing an educational resource. Not SPAM or advertisement. Is that not ok? ESP2016 (talk) 06:33, 18 October 2016 (UTC)ESP2016[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Widr (talk) 07:21, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

We are a non-commercial, educational platform providing open-access, peer-reviewed material on the field of environmental humanities. We are adding a link to relevant content on our portal to Wikipedia Articles that could profit from our literature and texts. All we are doing is providing an educational resource. We are affiliated with the LMU in Munich. Our content is born-digital, so adding it to relevant content (Rachel Carson, Ludwig Leichhardt) provides content that readers won't find anywhere else. Please allow me to continue editing!

Decline reason:

What you just described is the definition of WP:SPAM. The fact that you are "non-commercial, educational platform" is irrelevant. It is perfectly possible to advertise "non-commercial, educational platforms". And, it is not allowed. Vanjagenije (talk) 08:12, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I realize that it looks like we are just advertising ourselves. But that is not the case - we want to make our content available to interested readers. It is well researched, well written content that is relevant to the articles we are linking to. Similar to a journal but open-access. The links can only benefit the users! Please have a look at our site and then reconsider the block. ESP2016 (talk) 08:23, 18 October 2016 (UTC)ESP2016[reply]
