I am hoping that you are still available and maybe have some information about the ship. I have a grandpa that was on this ship from july 24 1945-December 30 the same year and he is in a health state that is day to day. I would love any information or photos that are available and would also have some that he has that I could share as well.
thank you, Luke
Luke, Yes I'm still available. Not sure how to respond so we can get in email communication, obviously the wiki isn't intended for this sort of thing, but I am considering building a web site for the Mintaka, have many photos and some information. Dad just died 4/3/16 and I did find additional accounts of his experiences afterward. Since this is a public page, it's not the place to put email addresses. Any idea how we get in contact? I know its been a long time since you first posted your question about "Rule" in the article on Mintaka, but I've just done some corrections to it and saw your note. "Rule" was actually just a typo or something because it wasn't in the originally cited reference which the article came from. I've removed it now. Did you create a website for Mintaka? I'd love to add a link to it if you did. Thanks, I hope you see this soon.Pennsy22 (talk) 09:48, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
No, haven't had access to a scanner. I do have an extended version of the itinerary beyond what is shown there since my dad kept a list of each stop. I'm not sure it belongs in the wiki because it would be close to personally created content. I attempted to get the war logs but never received a price for NARA doing the scanning and shipping. If I could have verified the itinerary, I would update the wiki page. I should probably get on that. BTW, how would I get in touch with you if I do get on this scanning and website? I didn't want to post my email here given the rules of wiki, but would like to correspond with those interested in the Mintaka.Eagletree (talk) 14:58, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
