Hi, here are the notes I mentioned:

  • The main thing I noticed with the draft is that this is written more like an essay than in the encyclopedia style Wikipedia uses. It's not really neutral, as parts of it come across a bit too much like a travel brochure. You want to avoid using terms like "we", "you", or "I", since that comes across like it's written by a specific person for a particular audience, whereas encyclopedic writing is meant to be "writer-less", so to speak - it shouldn't come across as being written by any one person or aimed at a particular group. This is honestly something that takes a while to get used to, as it's a pretty big shift in writing styles and shucks, it took me a while to get used to this as well. My recommendation in this area would be to look at other articles, especially those that are considered to be the best Wikipedia has to offer. The article on Texas itself is one of these, as is Spanish Texas. As far as culture goes, this isn't the same thing as a state culture but I'd recommend looking at the article on the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fandom to see how culture is covered there.
  • Building upon the first point, you want to avoid coming across like you are building an argument, as if you're persuading a reader to see things in a certain way. We can only summarize what has been explicitly stated in the source material and while we can lay out content in a way that would make it more easy to understand, we can't come up with new conclusions, theories, or draw ties or emphasize things in the article on our own. Basically, avoid "if... then..." and "if... therefore..." writing styles. Again, this is something that will take a bit of getting used to.
  • The sourcing looks good from what I can see, so all you really need to worry about is ensuring that everything is explicitly mentioned. The reason I keep mentioning the phrase "explicitly mentioned" is because if it's not in the source, we can't really mention it - even if it seems obvious, which can get really frustrating, to say the least.
  • If the source material has opinions or such that should be in the article you can definitely include them, just make sure that you attribute them along the lines of "According to..." or something like that.
  • Which article will this go into? If it's the article on the culture of Texas, then it would run into redundancy problems. If it's the article on Texas then that could work - I would just make sure that you post to the article's talk page first, since it's at Good Article status. You also may need to condense some of this, as there is already an article on Texas culture, so there's not a huge need to go into a lot of detail - there only needs to be a general overview. Also, the heading makes it look like this is going to be about the concept of Texas pride, which is definitely a topic that has been discussed in various places. If this is meant to be its own article, the issues of redundancy will become more pressing, since the topic would run the risk of being redundant to the culture article, as Texas pride is definitely a cultural thing. Let me know what you plan on doing with this on my talk page.

I think that you have a good start here, it just needs a bit of rearranging to fit Wikipedia guidelines - I'm honestly more concerned with tone at this point. I tried doing a little bit as far as re-writing goes, but without knowing exactly what your plans are here, I'm not really sure how to re-write this as an example. I did write a sentence that could serve as the opening sentence for a section about Texas pride, though.

Texas pride is a term used to describe a sense of demographic pride felt by people who currently or formerly lived in the state of Texas.
