A belated welcome!

[edit]

Hey EatYourHashs who are you and what do you know about Africa?

That wikipedia page about Slavery in Africa is not written from a neutral point of view, unless you think the White point of view is the neutral one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.250.194.186 (talk) 18:28, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm an editor that helps out sometimes with reverting clear vandalism. In this case, adding an unsourced blurb to the top of an article regarding its content is decidedly not the way to go about improving Wikipedia. I would recommend you use other routes such as the article talk page to politely suggest improvements backed up by sources. Thanks, Hashstalk 22:56, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, EatYourHashs. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{help me}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! aboideautalk 14:47, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Aboideau! I'm happy to help. EatYourHashs (talk) 14:49, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I recently edited the Wikipedia page of "Hyacinthus", but I got a message that you reverted my edits with the reason that the edits don't conform to the Wikipedia policies. The edits I had made were not any experimentation and they were all well sourced facts. Since Wikipedia lacked those informatins, I decided to add them. Can we not add such information? I want to know why they were reverted, so that I can know my mistakes and improve myself. Srushtijd (talk) 15:01, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You cut out sections for no apparent reason detailed in your edit summary. However, after some further review, you also added some constructive information. I want to welcome you to re-add those sections I mistakenly removed. Thanks. Hashs (talk) 17:16, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello EatYourHashs. How are you doing? Thanks for your message. I will go through the Help page you sent to add the citation/references, and then add the section again. Once again thank you for your help, appreciate it... Shabbir Kagalwala (talk) 16:05, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Shabbir Kagalwala[reply]

Second Account?

[edit]

Did you have an account before this one? Your editing suggests this is not your first time to Wikipedia. --David Tornheim (talk) 23:53, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No, but a friend helped me get into it. Hashs (talk) 00:02, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for answering. And thanks for helping with vandalism reversion. Please read WP:INDENT. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. --David Tornheim (talk) 00:36, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request

[edit]

Can you revert the unreferenced genre on Baby (Justin Bieber song)? 2402:1980:256:B75D:1C4B:78DB:FF61:F423 (talk) 12:55, 9 May 2019 (UTC) Done. Hashs (talk) 13:10, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Can you remove "Jazmine Sullivan" in "J" section? Because she never had any number one in Billboard Hot 100 (see Jazmine Sullivan discography). 113.210.176.87 (talk) 02:35, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Someone else already did it. Thanks for noticing though. Hashs (talk) 12:19, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi EatYourHashs. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Wug·a·po·des 03:20, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mistaken revisions to my edits

[edit]

EatYourHashs, you recently undid my edits to Saharan dust. I noticed that originally, particulate matter was spelled as pppparticulate matter. I assumed that the person who did this, had only read four of the six elements composing the majority of the particulate matter. When spelling particulate matter, you use as many P's as there are elements composing the majority of the particulate matter. In this case, it would be spelled "pppppparticulate matter." I understand that mistakes happen, thank you for taking the time to read this message from me and I hope you have a wonderful day! :D --173.217.188.41 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.217.188.41 (talk) 21:27, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
