Please find something more useful to do than removing spaces from citation templates. It does not affect the rendered appearance of the article and only clogs up watchlists of other editors with useless edits. —David Eppstein (talk) 16:03, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That’s only something I do in tandem with other edits to make the code easier to navigate. I know most of what I do is pretty minor, but I’m not vandalizing or spamming so I don’t particularly see what the issue is. Sorry Eatingbugs (talk) 16:14, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There are a lot of editors reviewing your work and these changes unnecessarily give us more work, not just because of the changes you're making but because of the changes others may eventually make changing them back if we don't speak up. We'd rather spend out time reviewing significant changes. As a matter of full disclosure, I sometimes can't help myself and do make whitespace tweaks too. The problem is there is no one standard for whitespace in citation templates. Since there's no agreed right way to do it, you won't be able to make a strong argument that these edits are an improvement. Anchor Buggy[edit]

Hello! I've been collecting sources on the Anchor Buggy Company to start putting together a coherent article, but I guess now I wonder is the existing article supposed to be about the car or the company? "Was" vs "Is" on automotive articles[edit]

Hi, just wanted to leave a message here letting you know that for cars, present tense is used in the lede even if the car is discontinued (EG: the Ford Mustang is a car produced by Ford). This is specified in Wikipedia:WikiProject Automobiles/Conventions under the tense section. The only exception is if its known that all copies of the car have been destroyed or have not survived.
