conflict of interest LifeLock
i was under the assumption that you could add content as long as it was cited and factual.
i did not delete the lifelock page. i was adding to the awards area, when the entire page below the summery was deleted. as a lifelock member i feel strongly about the topic. i do not wish to remove any factual information from the page, but as much of it is biased and parts nonfactual, i felt it necessary to add the facts of the awards to show that LifeLock is more than what is being painted. all of my edits were cited.
one of the statements:
"In August 2011 the company nearly reached bankruptcy after it was found that the company falsely advertised their security claims and did little or nothing to protect the identity of their nearly 2,500,000 customers. The company still exists today after company disputes, however, Lifelock still is generally thought of as being a widespread scam after the company failed to prove that their security techniques were successful in protecting personal identity." is completely false.
1. the add was from 2010, not 2011. the FTC was concerned with LifeLocks advertising , not its actual product. the FTC actually states that the LifeLock product does "some" good. 2.LifeLock was never near bankruptsy... they reached a $12mm settlement, which is obviously not enough to bankrupt a company worth hundreds of millions of dollars... LifeLock is not "generally" viewed as a scam, and they have "proved" their technology works. LifeLock has never had 2.5million members. they only got to 2 million in november of last year.
i am a newbie on Wikipedia, and i very much want to contribute. im not sure how to protest the mass deletions of facts with references.

- I'm not really an expert on finding stubs or other articles in need of work. If I were you, I would just find articles you are interested in and start editing. Then you can sign up for Suggestbot, and it will send you recommendations. Good luck! Ebikeguy (talk) 16:27, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

I've thought of an idea that might break our current logjam with paid editing. I'd love your sincere feedback and opinion.
Feel free to circulate this to anyone you think should know about it, but please recognize that it hasn't agreed upon by either PR organizations or WikiProjects or the wider community. Hey, Ebikeguy, just so you know, if you're trying to make a wikilink of an image, you need to put a colon at the beginning of the target. So, [[File:Red_B-cycle_Station.jpg]] becomes [[:File:Red_B-cycle_Station.jpg]]. I saw you post that image on Gogo Dodo's talk page without the colon, which led to the entire (gargantuan) picture trying to load on his talk page. I reduced the size of it, but only realized afterwards that you might've been trying to just link to it, so I'll let you do whatever you need to, but the image was just a bit too big to let sit there as it was. Hi. Thanks for your message. About your tag – free-licence or public-domain images can be nominated at either Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files or Wikipedia:Files for deletion; fair-use images, such as Beckry's upload, can only go to the latter (see the introduction to WP:PUF). You may wish to withdraw your nomination, as it is currently on the wrong page. I don't think that it really matters, though, because another user has since tagged the file for speedy deletion under speedy deletion criterion F7 (as a non-free image replaceable by a free alternative) and it will most likely be deleted on 2nd August. Bots cover the WP:PUF nominations page and automatically close discussions for images that have been deleted. SuperMarioMan 03:07, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
