Please help me, I am trying to publish an Article about a living person but somehow it doesn't work it has been more than 15 days since I posted it and I don't get any update of if it is right or wrong, but when I google his name, it doesn't come online like his ex colleagues such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxine_Mawhinney

his page I am trying to activate:

Page: Stephen Marney https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Edahlke/sandbox

@Edahlke: hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and decide to become a full-time editor. Just to comment on Stephen Marney, there is already a draft for this person written at Draft:Stephen Marney. However, that draft was declined as a full article on the grounds that it does not cite reliable sources. Looking at your draft at User:Edahlke/sandbox, it looks like unfortunately that also suffers from the same issue. Note that IMDB is not considered a reliable source on Wikipedia as it is updated by fans and members of the public rather than an independent reputable publisher. See WP:Reliable sources for a more thorough explanation. So what I suggest you do is to find some independent sources (e.g. newspaper articles, books, commentaries by experts on reliable websites etc) and rewrite or add citations to the draft page, then resubmit. You may want to also review WP:Notability (people) to check whether the individual really meets the notability requirements for a WIkipedia article. I don't know if he does or not at this point. Thanks!  — Amakuru (talk) 16:07, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Amakuru and Amakuru: - Hello and thank you for the warm welcome!

that draft of Stephen Marney was made by himself, he then tried to delete but doesnt know how to delete it. I then re-edited the Biography removing alot of unecessary words. There are several links on youtube with videos of him while he was broadcasting for different television channels. I have included now a few on notes.

When I visited the side of Maxine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxine_Mawhinney I noticed that on her site all the links are wikipedia sources, there is only one external link which shows her BBC profile... would one link be enough as source?? I dont want to do comparison or to dispute why others exist.... I just want to learn and understand and I would really appreciate if you could help me with this.

My direct email address is em.dahlke@gmail.com Thanks for your advice, Edahlke (talk) 16:48, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
