GA

It's absurd waiting six months to have an article reviewed. in future just ask and I'll likely do it within a few days.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:59, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

I agree, but there's not much reviewing in the Jazz Project, unfortunately, and I imagine that others get put off if they've never heard of the article's subject. I'll be busy with other things for most of this year, I think, but might try to increase collective motivation on jazz articles after that. Not having even 100 GAs when Military history has 900 FAs is something of an embarrassment (or maybe just indicative of the people involved here). Thanks for doing three so soon, Dr. Blofeld. I'll put Horace Silver forward next, after some work. EddieHugh (talk) 20:47, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

A pie for you!

Thanks for the Coltrane catch. I went too far on that one. Kaiserthegreat (talk) 00:35, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

Smalls

We hope and myself were considering working on Birdland (New York jazz club) soon. Knowing you you probably won't be interested in collaborating, but I really do see Birdland as the Mecca of jazz. The Village Vanguard perhaps later in the year.♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:29, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

I'm cutting down on real contributions for now, as the alternative world intervenes. Horace Silver, maybe try Elmo Hope for FA, but otherwise treading water until I have more time.
Smalls is good. Birdland (or was it Bird Land? Just joking) is a good choice. Village Vanguard, Cotton Club, Minton's... a lot that deserves more attention, as ever. EddieHugh (talk) 21:03, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
Sarah Vaughan's version of "Lullaby of Birdland" is one of my favourites! As expected the article not great!♦ Dr. Blofeld 21:31, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
With Clifford Brown, I assume. The whole album is amazing. Standards named after venues: that would be a shorter list! EddieHugh (talk) 00:02, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
Yes, Sarah Vaughan with Clifford Brown is certainly excellent. Hot Jazz is too! I've got 8 of her albums I think.♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:06, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
I don't know that one; I'll look for it... EddieHugh (talk) 14:12, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
I don't know if you've got Ella Swings Lightly or Rhythm Is My Business but they're very highly recommended, Ella is swinging very heavily haha. She seems to be on something during the recordings but it brings out the best of her, she's amazing! Little Jazz and Broadway tasters. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:31, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

So Who Is Gary Burton? is better as a red link than as the blue link Who is Gary Burton? because "all verbs have a capital, according to MoS"? Maybe someone could just correct the article title. And meanwhile we can just leave the reader baffled? Martinevans123 (talk) 09:24, 28 March 2016 (UTC) p.s. I've seen "clarinet" linked in all sorts of articles, including this one.

"Someone" became me. As with "Who is" in a title, because it's there doesn't mean that it should be (a clarinet is not obscure and the Goodman page has four pictures of him holding something that could be assumed to be a licorice stick). EddieHugh (talk) 16:36, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
What a relief. Many thanks. Renaming really becomes you. As for musicians swapping instruments, I guess it takes all sorts. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:43, 28 March 2016 (UTC) Did someomne say obscure?

FAC: Agharta (album)

Hi. Would you be interested in reviewing/commenting on my nomination of Agharta (album) for featured status? Dan56 (talk) 07:42, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

Yes, but I can't for several days, at least. EddieHugh (talk) 15:21, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

United Kingdom European Union membership referendum, 2016 - Cambridge Analytica link

Revision undo discussion; can you please help me determine where I can properly link Brexit article with Cambridge Analytica? I would appreciate the help. I felt that it would be important to document this, considering their ties with both right wing UK Brexit 2016 and USA Trump 2016 campaigns, au courant. --Conrad Kilroy (talk) 02:36, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Possibly the Campaign section, but a good reason for including it is required, as the edit looked like advertising for CA. If there are secondary sources stating that CA was important in the referendum, then it could be worth including. EddieHugh (talk) 10:04, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

MOSALBUM

I've started a discussion about the vague terms of the album MOS per recommendation of the MOSALBUM writer. Feel free to voice your opinion. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums#MOSALBUM Vague Terms --Jennica / talk 10:38, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

Curious

Why do you create so many album pages but don't include the track lengths? --Jennica / talk 16:34, 11 December 2016 (UTC)

The sources I use often don't have track lengths. Composers should be there as well, but often aren't, for the same reason. My album article creation drive will soon be over, I hope. EddieHugh (talk) 16:48, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
