Actually, he can't. FIFA prohibits the transfer into the EU of players under the age of 18 from outside the EU. Therefore, since Ljajic is still only 17, he cannot officially join Manchester United until he turns 18. However, since he doesn't turn 18 until after the July–August 2009 transfer window closes, he cannot join the club until January 2010. I acknowledge that he has an agreement to join Manchester United, but that cannot happen until January 2010, which is why ManUtd.com says that Manchester United and Partizan have an agreement that Ljajic will stay with Partizan for the remainder of 2009. – PeeJay 23:33, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't expect you to know every single machination of FIFA's regulations, and you were just following Wikipedia guidelines by reporting exactly what the third party sources have said.
