Request reason:

Hey look, I know I was a dick to that Martin guy. I'm sorry. But he removed my fucking images when they weren't even copyrighted. One was a picture of me, one was a mugshot of a teacher, one was a picture of my school, and a few fucking memes. Those aren't copyrighted. It's not like fucking Disney or Viacom owns them. I just don't understand how a few pictures taken by regular people are copyrighted just because they're on the fucking internet. Wiki won't get sued for that shit. Also, I took that picture of me, and it was fucking removed for being copyrighted. WTF?

As for the "vandalism", well, I warned in my fucking userpage that I was prone to making funny edits. I'm just a fucking teacher, making many constructive edits to this site. If you choose to ban me over a few fucking joke edits, you are sacrificing potential useful info that I can add to Wiki pages of schools. Think about it.

Decline reason:

Thought about it. I'm surprised the block is just for a week. --jpgordon::==( o ) 14:45, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How were my images copyrighted?

Decline reason:

Sorry, but pointing you at a long boring wall of text has gotten unavoidable at this point. Please indicate if you have plans of constructive contributions and if you're intending to cease all that swearing, otherwise I'm inclined to extend your block as it totally feels like you're here to screw things, not write an encyclopedia. Okay I get it, but a picture of ME was removed for copyright violation. It was taken in September 2012. sorry for posting this in the form of an unblock request, but it's the only way I can guaruntee my question will be answered.

Decline reason:

Please read the "long boring wall of text" given to you by Max Semenik and come back when you understand copyright. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:44, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unless you took the picture yourself, copyright for the image rests with the photographer. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 06:06, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Wow, really? Are you really saying a fucking 15-year-old has rights to a picture I had him take of me? I gave the kid my fucking camera and he took the picture and gave it back to me. He never had the picture copyrighted in his name. I understand copyright perfectly. Last time I checked, you had to go in and pay to have something copyrighted. I call bullshit. Even if he was the true copyright holder, do you really expect me to track down a kid who has since graduated, and be like "hey, remember that pic I made you take of me when you were a sophomore? Well, can I have permission to use it on Wikipedia?? LOLOLOL XDXDXD"?? See how ridiculous you sound?

Decline reason:

I am genuinely concerned about your interest in editing in a constructive manner, as well as your ability to work in a collaborative environment like Wikipedia. Declining the unblock request as the initial block was perfectly valid. Please make a concerted effort to contribute constructively once your block expires. Thank you, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 22:12, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the photo was copyrighted the instant it was taken, per the Berne Convention. Registering the copyright only makes it easier to sue when it's breached. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 00:05, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I was under the impression that you needed to register the copyright for it to be copyrighted. Somewhat related, I included pictures of Buzz and Woody on one of my websites I made for my students a few years back, and got a cease and desist notice from Disney. The greedy bastards were threatening to sue me for $2 million.
  • Would the next admin consider making this an indef please? BethNaught (talk) 20:36, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No please don't block me forever. I promise no more unblock requests or copyrighted images. Look at my edits to East Noble High School and Wayne High School. Helpful edits. I have so much more to offer. I'll sit out my block and continue to edit constructively, so more joke edits either, promise. Edmodo23 (talk) 21:08, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

April 2016[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Caillou are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. Request reason:

How did I disrupt the Wiki since I was unblocked? Please give me specific examples.

Decline reason:

You are missing the point here. You are not asked or expected to debate the validity of the block; you are required to explain what you will do differently in the future in order to persuade an admin to unblock you. Incidentally, I note in in previous unblock requests you have used the word "fucking" on ten occasions (+one WTF), none of them to any relevant purpose. I suggest that you should try hard to avoid extraneous and pointless profanity in future requests; it does not help to convince us of your positive intentions here. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:49, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I promise I will no longer make joke edits, or post crazy fan theories on talk pages. I have read WP:NOT and I know what I can and can't post anymore. I solemnly swear to only make serious edits from now on, and will refrain from posting senseless humor that has no place on an online encyclopedia, even on other people's talk pages. No more personal attacks, no more vandalism, no more nonsense.

Decline reason:

I tried to find a way for you to come back here, but the more I looked into your editing history the longer the list of promises I would have you make. I had not seen the edits linked to by Mkdw when I discussed your return before. Frankly it is showing a history of inappropriate behaviour going back before your prior block and carried on after. I think if I unblock you that you will make a fool of me. HighInBC 14:29, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Mike V: do you find this promise to be sufficient? HighInBC 15:36, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If the user keeps to their promise, I'm OK with that. However, I want to be clear that disruptive/troll edits like these will not be tolerated. (1, 2) If you continue, it's very likely that you will be blocked again and be hard pressed to find an administrator willing to unblock you. Mike VTalk 16:03, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edmodo23, in addition to edits that are clearly mischief which you have already agreed to stop there are also other edits which are less obviously bad faith. It is also inappropriate to use talk pages for general discussion or personal theories like here and here. As an encyclopedia we have to avoid original research. It is not clear to me if those posts were a joke, or if they were meant seriously. Either way I need you to clarify that you understand not to do this.

Also if unblocked then you will essentially be on your last chance. We have an essay Wikipedia:Give 'em enough rope that describes the situation. I am going out on a limb to make you this offer, please don't make a fool out of me. HighInBC 16:09, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, he's demonstrated below that he can listen and adjust behaviour accordingly: hopefully permenantly... Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 16:14, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I agree to everything stated above Edmodo23 (talk) 03:33, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@HighInBC: Based upon these edits and this edit I would also like for this editor to undergo a topic ban on school related topics. Mkdwtalk 05:19, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I had not seen that before. This is clearly part of a long term pattern so I am just going to decline this. HighInBC 14:29, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello???[edit]

Why are you ignoring me now?

Changing this to an {{admin help}} template. There's not much regular editors can do for you at this point. Cheers, Nick—Contact/Contribs 16:58, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Apart, perhaps, from advising the placing of "using unnecessary humour" in stead of "trying to make people laugh, because apparently humor is frowned upon here" perhaps... Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 17:03, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Look I really just want to get back to editing.
Then adjust your unblock request accordingly, for a start. Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 17:14, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Did it. Edmodo23 (talk) 17:21, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
People have lives and there's a lot of tasks that need attention on Wikipedia. Some unblock requests take weeks to resolve. You will have to wait for those reviewing your block to get back to you at their own time. Mkdwtalk 05:06, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Attention admins of Wikipedia, I need your help.[edit]

It's been days and my unblock request still has not been addressed. Like it hasn't even been discussed yet. Please, I have alot to offer this site, as you can see by my "real" edits. I just need a straightforward answer.

Your unblock request has been addressed. HighInBC 14:30, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Who are you? Your actions have painted Wayne High School in a negative light. From what I can tell, the moderators at Wikipedia have put you out of commission, so good on them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laheeca (talkcontribs) 03:18, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you made a comment on the page User talk:Edmodo23 with this edit that didn't seem very civil, so I removed it. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it’s one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner.
