Stats in football players' infoboxes

[edit]

Hi, when you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the |pcupdate= (or |club-update=) parameter. This shows when the stats were last updated and prevents editors from accidentally updating the stats again. Thank you. --Jaellee (talk) 13:17, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm GiantSnowman. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Junior Kabananga, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. GiantSnowman 15:33, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You have never been blocked under this account before - what was your previous account? GiantSnowman 16:59, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The infobox is for domestic league games only - and you are updating goals but not games, therefore providing false information. How can somebody score if they haven't played? GiantSnowman 17:11, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You should use a football database, such as Soccerway, to confirm correct league appearances and goals. GiantSnowman 17:16, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Andrija Živković, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. 2602:306:3357:BA0:90D6:D9CF:B2B6:D5D (talk) 17:47, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Emil Forsberg, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Live updates

[edit]

Hi.

Please do not update statistics or scores while a match is in progress. Instead, wait until the match has finished before updating. At WikiProject Football there is a consensus not to add live scores and also a consensus not to update any statistics while a match is in progress. Without live updates it is easier to avoid duplicate information and errors from being published on the article.

Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 17:18, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

October 2015

[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Zlatan Ibrahimović. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. See #Stats in football players' infoboxes Qed237 (talk) 22:35, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi there EDMOND, from Portugal,

I'm afraid there is no consensus here, as with many things at WP:FOOTY. However, as far as I know, many are of the opinion that there is no point in writing stuff as (1) or (2) as it's so glaring obvious. I think it's more common to find in cases where a player/club has/have won many editions of a same trophy. I, myself, never write numbers.

Hopefully I was of some assistance, happy editing/weekend --Be Quiet AL (talk) 18:40, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sure, I can mediate. Per the last lines of your conversation, I see that you seem to be understanding what he was asking, and I also add what he already told you, other WP pages cannot be used to source anything at the side, we must use outside sources. Other than that, what exactly do you want me to convey to him? I'll gladly help. --Be Quiet AL (talk) 16:36, 24 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Completely within the rules, just remember not to use WP pages as sources, you're 100% in the safe regarding the rest. --Be Quiet AL (talk) 18:37, 24 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2016–17 Swiss Cup, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Michael Lang. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
