Sak's[edit]

Citations needed[edit]

I've just reverted a number of your recent edits in which you changed numbers without providing a new source; the cited sources did not support your changes. In addition, you added an uncited piece of personal information about a living person. Information on Wikipedia must be verifiable. If you have updated information, you are expected to cite a source in support of the change, not slip it in in front of an existing source that does not support it. And in the case of living people, especially if it's personal, it is often better to leave it out if it does not have an unimpeachable source - at least if it concerns a personal matter such as religion. Citations needed, again[edit]

Just as ~~last year~~ before, you changed a number and date at Kmart while not providing a new reference. You cannot just change something if it is not supported by the cited reference. Provide a new reference. Yngvadottir (talk) 17:36, 9 October 2014 (UTC) ... I meant in March, but I have now checked and you also changed numbers in the article without providing an updated reference in June! You are an experienced editor so I won't template you, but this is misinformation. The information we give must always match what is in the reference. That's why we have references - to tell the reader where we got the information. This is basic to what we do: Wikipedia:Verifiability. If you have a more recent source, you must provide it (usually by replacing the old one). If you don't, but are instead subtracting the closed stores from the total, that's original research and it is not permissible. So if you want newer numbers, you must track down a source. Otherwise, no matter how good your intentions - I agree, Sears ought to update that page - you are falsifying the information. Stop. Look for a source and if you can't find one, leave it alone. The statement "as of February 2013" is sufficient to establish that it is likely to be out of date. Yngvadottir (talk) 17:46, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
