FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 15:00, 1 April 2014 (UTC)Hi Emma, we're really thrilled to see some experts edit wikipedia. We've buffed up Cortinarius violaceus to be as complete as possible - can you see any information missing from it that we should add? Cheers, Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 06:30, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
- Err, neither Cornitarius subcalyptrosporus nor Cornitarius atroviolaceus is on index fungorum or mycobank...what would be the best references to use in writing about them? Cheers, Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 03:19, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
- Moser, M. M. (1987). Cortinarius Fr. subgen. Cortinarius in the SW-Pacific area. Sydowia, 39, 138–147. Retrieved from http://www.landesmuseum.at/pdf_frei_remote/Sydowia_39_0138-0147.pdf. None of the type specimens have been sequenced. C. atrolazulinus should be present in New Zealand. I know there is a species that has been identified and sequenced as such. However genetically, it is outside of the C. violaceus group and I am hesitant to allow encourage locals to continue with that practice until more information is known.
- I made short articles (we call 'em stubs) on Cortinarius subcalyptrosporus and Cortinarius atroviolaceus (had made other ones a few months ago). I live in Sydney and have never seen any goddamn purple webcap despite looking alot - I made the Cortinarius kioloensis page so I could recall where they were and go find some sometime. It is a shame Alec Wood died as I work next door to UNSW and visited him a few times in his lab and asked him lots of questions (mainly about amanitas in Australia). Keep us posted when you write new stuff :))) We nagged User:M.E.Nuhn about boleti too when he popped up :) Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:56, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
- I'm still around; but I am less active so you'll need to "tag" me or whatever wikipedia is calling it.M.E.Nuhn (talk) 14:09, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
- Cool! I have been trying to keep up with genus pages...and I guess there are a large number of boletes floating around with old names that need research to figure out what new names should be.....Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 20:56, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
