Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2016 Atomized, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spin. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Halo 5: Guardians

[edit]

FYI, I think the GA nomination is a little premature. For a game that received so much coverage, it should be broader in its coverage. The article needs quite a lot work and some copy-editing. It'll fail GA in its current state. --The1337gamer (talk) 16:17, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Good Article Nominations Page Needs Your Help!

[edit]

Good Articles: Music needs the help of willing reviewers!

Hi there. You nominated an article for evaluation against the good article criteria some time ago, but I noticed you have yet to review an article yourself. Although it's not mandatory, it would be helpful if every user who creates a nomination also reviewed at least one other article, as this would help clear the massive backlog. Reviewing someone else's article can also help you in the long run: every article reviewed brings yours one position closer to the top of the nominations list! If you worked on the article you nominated, chances are you're already familiar with the six good article criteria. It really isn't hard to review, and may take an experienced editor only a few hours to complete. If you have the time and would like to help, please click here, take a moment to figure out which article you'd like to review, then click on its (start review) button. Thank you for reading, and if you need assistance with your review at any point, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page and I'll respond to you as soon as I can. Homeostasis07 (talk)

Thank you for cleaning up The Velvet Underground & Nico. It would be nice if it became a GA again. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 03:17, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Per the discussion at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Albums/Archive_46#Piero_Scaruffi_-_Final_Verdict_on_using_him_as_a_source_in_reviews there's a very clear consensus here that Scaruffi is not to be used as a source in music/album articles in any capacity. So please, do not add his opinions anymore. It is a wp:self published source. Since this is a long running dispute, any contributor warned by the situation and who doesn't respect it, would encounter sanctions and could be blocked from editing. Thanks. You've been informed because you used this source here. Woovee (talk) 23:24, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

First off, thank you for the Half-Million Award for American Idiot, I very much appreciate it. I think it's cool you even noticed my trophy case of sorts. It is quite a prestigious award to me - as far as Wikipedia awards go, haha.

Imagine my surprise, however, when I realized I qualify for a top-tier Million Award for this article I got promoted over a year ago. Then again, I see on the award's page that the person who helped Green Day themselves get promoted waited over three years for that thing. So, sincerely, thank you very much. Inserting whitespaces in references

[edit]

Hi. I see you've worked on Discovery (Daft Punk album), Richard D James Album and The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars recently. I'm sure many editors thank you for your extensive contributions. However, upon working on those articles, it appears you've used a script to insert whitespaces into references. I don't think this is the preferred layout of referencing for most readers, and it adds unnecessary bytes of data to a page, making it upon editing longer to load and lengthens the page, interrupting the flow of horizontal referencing. Please cite WP:CITEVAR—maintain the original style of citations, even if you prefer another. Thanks. Ss112 13:16, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Ss112: Thank you for warning me. I thought it was better for editing the references later, but since there are issues with it, I will stop using the script (at least, this function). Again, thank you! – electricController 16:15, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Financial markets content project

[edit]

Hello,

My name is Tijana and I am managing a newly established non-profit project called Wikinvesting. Generally, it concerns a knowledge base creation, where everyone will be able to share their knowledge, experience and information related to financial markets. I saw you expressed interest in topics related to it on Wikipedia and I’d love to discuss the project with you further.

If you are interested, please let me know how can I contact you? Cheers,

Hey, I personally think it's a good idea to include the DaBaby/Manson controversy in the lead, though I would scrap due to their allegations of homophobia and abuse respectively, which caused the album to receive a zero-star rating from a publication to avoid going into too much detail. It's elaborated on in the critical reception section, which is sufficient in my opinion. What do you think? Throast (talk | contribs) 18:37, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Throast: I agree that is too long, but I personally think that scrapping the sentence entirely would not give enough context as to why their appearance attracted controversy.
You're right, the last half sentence was pretty much the one I was having an issue with. Throast (talk | contribs) 18:48, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
