Welcome, new Wikipedian! Thank you for your (future) contributions. To explain about Rudjer Josip Boskovic: the name of the language was Serbo-Croatian. Or we could just use Serbian, as his name is; right? I have re-settled the article a little. I hope you like it more this way (I spelled all the names that he was using) HolyRomanEmperor 16:21, 9 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Croatian? Hmm... Could you define that a bit. His mother language was Italian, and he spoke also English and French as their own languages (as he lived in France and Britain like a citizen) I drew out the Serbian only based on the fact that his father was a Serb (and not to make confusions because of his Boscovic surname; besides, he did not speak Serbian very well, and at the time of his death, he had completly forgotten about it) You already mentioned an irony through "Old Church Slavonic" Wouldn't it be ridiculous as same to add Croatian (as Serbian and Croatian and whatsoever other alternative are actually one language)? HolyRomanEmperor 13:55, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Something can't "not" be a part of a geographical term if it is, geographicly, positioned on its territory. Dalmatia is not (only) n Roman (Ragusa was then in it) and an Austrian province; its the geographical term used for the entire region. HolyRomanEmperor 13:55, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's rather annoying when someone doesn't note a change in the talk page. We've had cases when we we even had to ban users that kept notorously editing our articles (and personally, I always hate to see it happen to a new wikipedian) So could you, please, be a little more detailed in the future? Thanks in advance! HolyRomanEmperor 13:55, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

STOP vandalising pages or you will be blocked from editing wikipedia for 24 hours. I have added "Serbian" only because Serbian nationalists demand that. He only swore in Serbian during his life (because it would not be appropriate to swear in his main languages). And the Croatian nationalists want to assimilate him! I will agree to add Croatian alternative under one condition. If you explain yourself on the talk page, and write a Croatian alternative for "Marco Polo's" name (since he was born in what is now Croatia) I will allow this. HolyRomanEmperor 21:22, 11 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize if my previous edits have seemed a little bit aggressive, but I have warned you several times to explain your changes; and yet you ignored them all. What's more, you refuse to discuss with me (and, as it seems, you only answer to threats) In case that you don't keep adding that info accidently (I don't believe that it is Wikipedia:Newbie experiment) you are breaking Wikipedia:Vandalism. So, please do explain this time. Yours trully HolyRomanEmperor 16:03, 12 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What I don't understand is that many South Slavs (and others, not to make exceptions) keep calling forth what is not rightfully theirs. Rudjer Boskovic only had a tiny, unimportant interest in his family's ancestry (it was more of like a hobby) and his knowledge in Serbian language was minimal that he only cursed in Serbian :) HolyRomanEmperor 09:55, 13 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The fact that Cetinje had proclaimed him as the first Serb astronomer still will not delete the fact that he is French and British and an Italian Do you not agree? HolyRomanEmperor 09:57, 13 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

May I know at least why are you ignoring me? (when you already are) HolyRomanEmperor 16:37, 13 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I read your recent changes; and yes, ofcourse: Ivo Andrić's ethnicity is Catholic Croatian and nothing else. He then assimilated into a Serb (later). But same could not be said for Boskovic, as he is not in any way (except as a brother-by-religeon) a Croat (he is only ethnicly Serb and not in any other way). You are, ofcourse, absolutly correct. The language Croatian, although was not present on the page about Rudjer Boskovic. Mir Harven had added it, but I quickly removed it again; as I see no possible reason to keep it. I have probably turned out seemingly wrong in your eyes (whether it is of my personal act or not) Could we start over? Now, I will understand if you don't want to discuss with me (personal freedom) but I would also like very much if you could explain yourself a little. No problem in that? HolyRomanEmperor 19:22, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, I did seem a bit insultive, but you were wrong about one thing. You mentioned disagreeing with you. That is wrong. You neither agreed nor disagreed with me (that is exactly the thing that insulted me, as it seemed that your only interest is to change my edits) HolyRomanEmperor 19:31, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

OK. My original plan was to name all names by which Rudjer was known. I think that you should delete the cyrilic version, as there is absolutely no reference for this. Also, the English version should be returned, and at the end (corresponding to relevance and timeline) I am also scrying the net for the Russian version, which should also be added (I can't seem to find it) Could you give a hand? HolyRomanEmperor 19:40, 18 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

For the fact that Ivo Andric concidered himself a Serb, you should contact Mir Harven on the Croatian encyclopedia. He clearly states that Ivo Andric is a Serbian nationalist. HolyRomanEmperor 19:42, 18 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am preparing to change Croatian and Serbian to note Illyrian instead (although, I will state those two languages as well) If you don't mind...? P. S. Please see to that Ivo Andric matter appropriatly. HolyRomanEmperor 16:56, 22 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is it your general opinion that all Serbs are/were Orthodox Christians? HolyRomanEmperor 22:04, 2 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Would it matter if I gave you examples of Catholic Serbs throughout history (both converts and born)? Would it change your mind? HolyRomanEmperor 22:25, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

and muslim? HolyRomanEmperor 22:46, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Did you ever hear of Mehmed Paša Sokolović? HolyRomanEmperor 22:03, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

or Meša Selimović? HolyRomanEmperor 22:08, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Catholics - Rugjer Joseph Boshkovich and his father, Nikola (I won't mention Ivo since you don't recognise his assimilation) HolyRomanEmperor 15:15, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There you've also got Matija Ban and Medo Pucić. HolyRomanEmperor 15:16, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There you've also got Matija Ban and Medo Pucić. HolyRomanEmperor 15:17, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand, you've got a lot of Orthodox Croats (Bokeljani). HolyRomanEmperor 15:20, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Slavko Goldstein might be a Jew, but his ancestry and name will always be Serb :))) HolyRomanEmperor 15:22, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

my great-grandmother had four brothers, one Orthodox, three Catholic. So, you can't really state that a whole nation is of one religion. Do you agree with me now? HolyRomanEmperor 15:24, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I guess that you are not intereseted with the subject. Well, sorry that I bothered you. Goodbye! HolyRomanEmperor 13:36, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Andric, HolyRomanEmperor answered you on my talk page. Nikola 14:30, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You mentioned something about Serbo-Croatian existing only from 1968 to 1974. Could you elaborate a bit? HolyRomanEmperor 16:34, 15 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If it's true, I think that it should be included in the Serbian, Croatian and Serbo-Croatian language articles. HolyRomanEmperor 21:28, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The part that you mentioned about Orthodox being Serbs... that only counts if you count the Montenegrins as Serbs. Do you support that theory? HolyRomanEmperor 17:07, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen your most recent edits and... I withdraw everything bad that I told about you... you're OK. I won't touch Ivan Gundulić (just please don't call it outrageous) unless I find his biography, but do you agree now that Ivo Andrić was born as a Croat and died as a Serb? HolyRomanEmperor 11:42, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

E, elephantuse, nije mi dobra veza, al' mi treba slika crkve svetog Mihaila za Duklju. Mozes li ti to uraditi? Recimo odavde: [1] Snimi je kao "Image:Church_of_St_Mihailo". Hvala unapred... HolyRomanEmperor 11:29, 30 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This might be interesting to you, if you doubt Rudjer's ethnicity (at this aint nationalistic): [2] HolyRomanEmperor 12:47, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

--VKokielov 23:13, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Elephantus, is it I whom Freenode dislikes, or is Freenode broken? --VKokielov 18:28, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.  :) --VKokielov 18:44, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I'm leaving you!  ;) I dreamed about Radovan Karadzic -- and he saw himself on my laptop, and wanted to break it. Almost did...
(Kidding, of course, about leaving). --VKokielov 16:20, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
