A tag has been placed on File:Afro hair model.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 01:06, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Emaresea! You contested the speedy deletion of File:Afro hair model.jpg, saying "This file is fair use, it is a publicity photo of Rahma Mohamed from IMG Models." Wikipedia only accepts fair use in specific situations, and this file does not meet it. Jujutacular (talk) 06:32, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion for getting permissions for Afro-textured hair article image[edit]

Hi, I'd like to commend you for your contributions to the Afro-textured hair article. I see that you attempted to add a picture that better illustrates the hair type. Great idea! Perhaps you could contact the owners of the images you selected to see if they would grant you permission to use the image in the article. If they are a blogger, or own a site, they might be able to set up a page, that you can link to in the image profile, that specifically states under what permissions the image can be used on Wikipedia.org and/or Wikimedia.org, stating that they are the originator of the image and posting the image with a photo credit (and website address) that you can, then, take and upload to Wikimedia/Wikipedia. Bab-a-lot (talk) 14:38, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see that the images you uploaded are Creative Commons marked. I'm wondering why that isn't enough to justify use. If you'd like to buddy up, let me know. Maybe, we can work together in order to get the proper permissions needed. Bab-a-lot (talk) 14:46, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, this is my first time trying to do this and I'm having a really hard time figuring out what needs to be done. Do I need to ask the site owners to make a new webpage on their own site?
