All That Remains

[edit]

Please refrain from removing subject matter that solely has to do with the band. If you believe something does not relate to an article and should therefore be removed for reasons other than the bluntly obvious, then discuss it on the discussion page and people can reach a consensus on whether or not it can be removed. Thank you! Killmefaster (talk) 06:40, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I tagged several of your articles with notability and cleanup concerns

[edit]

From my recent edit list:

  1. 02:15, 22 April 2008 (hist) (diff) Bury Your Dead (album)‎ (importance/chart ranking is on band's article, it needs to be here too, to busy to fix it at the moment. Also: {{unreferenced}}) (top)
  2. 02:12, 22 April 2008 (hist) (diff) Your Ghost is a Gift‎ ({{notability|date=April 2008|Proposed|Wikipedia:Notability (music)}}) (top)
  3. 02:11, 22 April 2008 (hist) (diff) Rise or Die Trying‎ ({{notability|date=April 2008|Proposed|Wikipedia:Notability (music)}}) (top)
  4. 02:10, 22 April 2008 (hist) (diff) It's Our Time‎ ({{notability|date=April 2008|Proposed|Wikipedia:Notability (music)}}) (top)
  5. 02:10, 22 April 2008 (hist) (diff) Four Year Strong‎ ({{notability|date=April 2008|Proposed|Wikipedia:Notability (music)}}) (top)

The 4 tagged with notability concerns may be recommended for deletion from Wikipedia if they are not notable according to the general notability guidelines or the guidelines for music-related articles. Bury Your Dead (album) is notable but you need to put something on there saying that it hit the charts, and provide a reference to back it up. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:23, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Joey Sturgis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RichardLowther (talk) 16:32, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. In Hard (song), critics directly commend Rihanna's vocals. On Wikipedia, we use referenced information, not the opinions of users or WP:OR. Thanks. Candyo32 (talk) 06:49, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The critical reception section of the song explicitly says: ""Hard" "exploit[s] Rihanna's most appealing vocal style, a sulky, icy, monotone – uniquely among the pantheon of showboating R&B divas, Rihanna often sounds as if she's about to roll her eyes and tut." And the that is your opinion that the vocals aren't monotone as it is WP:OR as critics have called Rihanna's vocals montone, which has use on Wikipedia and is citable. You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 10 Summers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page YG. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
