Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Deletion discussion about BridgeWay Station[edit]

Hello EmperorOfTheUS, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, BridgeWay Station, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BridgeWay Station.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SailingInABathTub}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Alexeyevitch(talk) 04:40, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, I will provide more summaries in the future. EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 05:09, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Creating pages[edit]

FYI: by creating the page 2024 Haneda Airport runway collision before the conclusion of the discussion, you have locked out other editors from making the move. The move now requires a specialized page mover user or an admin. In the future, in a situation like this, might I suggest you just allow the link to remain a red link. RickyCourtney (talk) 19:21, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am extremely sorry, if I had known I would never have done this. EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 23:05, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rabbit Inc. moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Rabbit Inc.. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Darling ☔ (talk · contribs) 18:54, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On reading this draft article, I still have no idea what the 'Rabbit R1' actually is, or what it's supposed to be, or how it's supposed to "replace phones." It needs a much clearer explanation. Cheers, BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 23:12, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, EmperorOfTheUS

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Zippybonzo, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Fireman Sam theme, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Zippybonzo}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

A tag has been placed on Fireman Sam theme song requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Blocked[edit]

What is this, who is Darth-Wiki-Man? EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 01:27, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

EmperorOfTheUS (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Your reason here I am accused of being a sockpuppet and have no relation to the account Darth-Wiki-Man. I have made good quality edits and do my best to improve Wikipedia. There have never been any vandalism or disrespectful edits made by me and simply just do it as a hobby.

Decline reason:

Confirmed to TheBeachBro, no room for doubt. Spicy (talk) 01:50, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Deletion of all redirects I created[edit]

I have spent time on creating redirects (over 5 hours) and they were genuinely constructive redirects. It really disappoints me to see them deleted. I am not angry about the fact that I am block but simply that all my hard work has been stripped from me. Is there anything I can do to help or get my redirects recreated? I just feel like this is unjust and I only want to benefit Wikipedia by doing the thing I love. I do not agree with why I was blocked, I created another account because editing is a hobby and I only wanted to continue it without being limited. I make a few mistakes in the past, but I think my other accounts prove that I only want to edit to benefit the whole of Wikipedia. EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 21:41, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

UtherSRG is there anyway you could help me by undeleting my redirects? I am not sure if it is against the rules, but if it you you do not have to. I was just wondering if you could do me this favor. EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 21:48, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your account was blocked because you created it to evade the block on your original account, User:Darth-Wiki-Man. And as it states in the block notice above, "all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted", which is the reason why the pages/redirects you created have been deleted. If you want to re-create those redirects, first you will need to successfully appeal the block on your original account, then go from there. As you have not only been blocked for disruptive editing on that original account but also created several sockpuppets to evade that block, you will most likely need to go through the Wikipedia:Standard offer of at least 6 months of absolutely no edits (including from any IP addresses anonymously), no account creations, to be successful at appealing the block on your original account.
And just to let you know, simply denying sockpuppetry will not work in getting unblocked at all, as Wikipedia has a group of users called "Checkusers", who can check certain technical information behind a user to 'confirm' if they are abusing multiple accounts or not (which is what has happened in your unblock request above, a Checkuser has confirmed that sockpuppetry through technical evidence).
Hope that helps a lot! — AP 499D25 (talk) 23:17, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Is there another editor could undelete the redirects for me? I just want people to be able to get redirected to those pages. EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 23:24, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, you are not allowed to request other editors to perform edits on your behalf while you are blocked from editing. This is considered proxy editing, which is prohibited. — AP 499D25 (talk) 23:31, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Even if it benefits other editors and I am probably not the only one that wants them undeleted? EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 23:34, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have spent hours working on them and now it has gone to waste. EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 23:34, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I accept that I was blocked and just want closure with the pages I have created. EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 23:36, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your closure is to cease and desist on this line of inquiry. When blocked, your only talk page actions should be to request an unblock, or respond to questions in regards to your unblock request. If you continue, I or another admin should immediately remove your talk page access. - UtherSRG (talk) 00:46, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What if I have a question concerning my block? EmperorOfTheUS (talk) 01:00, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
