Thank you for your work on the article Polar Design. If the company has been the subject of magazine articles or newspaper articles, could you please add references to those? You may also want to add any awards that the company has received. -- TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 15:37, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article was on the Propsed Deletion list for 5 days or more, via the {{prod}} template. If you feel that this deletion was in error, please edit the red link above and add the {{delrev}} template. - UtherSRG (talk) 15:21, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you can point me to where the approval for this article is, I will undelete it. Otherwise, please follow procedure and put {{delrev}} on Polar Design and find another admin to undelete it by posting a note on Wikipedia:Deletion_review. - UtherSRG (talk) 15:55, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's no need to write on my talk page about this, unless you are going to follow the procedures. If you want it undeleted, put {{delrev}} on the article, and then post a note on Wikipedia:Deletion review. - UtherSRG (talk) 01:48, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find the original article text - sorry, am a bit of a newbie. How do I recover that for a deleted article? Endless blue 19:27, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your argumentation (deletion vote). To me it looks meeting the criteria of WP:NOR original research. However, i believe i can not determine it myself. Probably Dynamic_web_content already covers the topic. You are giving further argumentation on the article talk. However, if it is your own conclusion (and not backed up by verifyable sources), then Modifiable multimedia does not have to be web content. It could be a multimedia presentation playing on a Plasma screen in a corporate office that changes over time... sounds a bit WP:OR. Probably someone can comment the deletion process; i do not believe it was a completely wrong idea. As mentioned, history of multimedia belongs to Multimedia. About the Polar Design

[edit]

Have have looked at the article and have voted. However, I would like to note that by bringing this article to my attention, you are technically campaigning for it, which is in violation of WP:SPAM. Just thought you should know. Sharkface217 04:09, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I read WP:SPAM and concluded that contacting a few users who patrol AfD that it was okay based on this somewhat vague quotation:

An arbitrator clarified the position: "Briefly, I think a reasonable amount of communication about issues is fine. Aggressive propaganda campaigns are not. The difference lies in the disruption involved. If what is happening is getting everyone upset then it is a problem. Often the dividing line is crossed when you are contacting a number of people who do not ordinarily edit the disputed article."

I will be more careful in the future. Thanks for the advice. Endless blue 04:16, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

brianyoumans

Hi my friend! Thanks for the cool comments ! I appreciate, having had to face all those crazy deletionist comments trying to tell me how to behave on wikipedia. That's a glimpse of fresh air to see that I am not alone thinking this guy is utterly crazy to take pride in the number of pages he deleted, destroying the work of others when he created only a handful of pages himself. What can we do about those jerks? Can we do something to stop them from destroying other people's work? Wikipedia is cool but deletionists sometimes make it a pain in the ass... Have a nice day and thanks again, bro'!Terveetkadet

Hi Terveetkadet - I wouldn't go so far as the claim anyone here is a jerk... But I do think that some editors have their own philosophy about organizing information and work solely based on that. I think its important to step away from one's self sometimes and look at the big picture, something that's hard for anyone to do. I give Brianyoumans credit through for his more recent comments on a few topics where he's spent the time to consider the issue. Endless blue 18:34, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh well my friend, you have a better attitude than me cause I sure would claim that that guy is a jerk hehe I just have zero tolerance for deletionists like brianyoumans and people who'll try to preach their gospel to me. Anyway, thanks again for your good words, my friend, I appreciate!Terveetkadet

Adrianne Wadewitz Memorial edit-a-thons

[edit]
Adrianne Wadewitz edit-a-thons in Southern New England

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows:

We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time.
