Special Mention/Special Jury Award??[edit]

Hi there. Thanks for your contributions to the National Film Awards. The Special Mention and the Special Jury Award winners are different aren't they? Cookie90 08:42, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

National Film Awards[edit]

Hi. I just thought I'd provide a few links and see what you think about them. [1] (2001 awards). That link seems to suggest there is one Special Jury award (non-feature) as well as a Special Mention for non-feature films which is different. Ditto for this one [2] (2004 awards) Cookie90 08:56, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ok[edit]

Ok. if the book says they are the same then thats ok I guess. But is that just referring to feature films? Would it be possible to reference the book you are referring from fully just on the bottom of the article page, or provide the year of publication, it's full title, author and publisher as well as ISBN to reference the awards because we need citations. That would be great if you could. I will help you reference if you have problems. Thanks. Cookie90 09:01, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know[edit]

I know the award isn't exclusive for just feature films. I didn't say it was. But that doesn't explain why on the links I provided above, there are two separate categories for Special Jury Award and Special Mention given to Non-feature films. Cookie90 09:16, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Special Mention / Special Jury Award are not the same[edit]

Enigma, the Special Jury award and Special Mention are NOT the same in either the feature/non-feature categories. Please refer to this official release from the Government of India listing the 2005 awards. 2005 NFA pdf release Gurdaas Maan receives a special mention (an irregular award according to imdb) and J.Phillip receives a Special Jury Award (a regular award) for his performance in Kutty. Please consider my suggestion and try and correct this mistake, or I will have to. Thanks Cookie90 09:44, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Page 13 is where both Special Mentions are listed and Page 9-10 is where the Special Jury Award is listed. If they were the same, they woud be given under the same category. You're doing a good job on those articles. Keep it up. This is just to make sure everything is done as accurately as possible. Thanks:)Cookie90 09:50, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ok[edit]

Ok. That sounds fine. Remember to include the Feature Film part when renaming the article. Cookie90 10:14, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

lol[edit]

ok I'll do it. :) Cookie90 10:17, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done[edit]

Ok. I've moved it. Not to worry.

Welcome!

Hello, Enigmaticanant/Archives, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! Procedure[edit]

Ok The procedure for moving. Well first COPY the information from the article you want to move, but don't save anything. Then type in the name of the new article you want to create into the search box. It will state such an article doesn't exist. Click create article. Paste the info copied earlier onto the new article and press save. Then return to the old article, and substitute the information with the REDIRECT template, and where it says Insert Text, write the new article's name and press save. Then hopefully it should work. Again, welcome. Keep up the good edits. Cookie90 10:27, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Well I pondered on it for quite some time too. I took the information from Satyajit Ray's official website satyajitray.org which says that Devi won the President's Gold Medal when released (the Golden Lotus Award). But it could be wrong. Link:[3] It's a credible site, however If other sites and sources say different then you can go ahead and change it. If someone else then finds another source confirming it did win, then it can be changed later. Thanks. Cookie90 10:37, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on To-Do List, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an user page from the main/article space. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. हिन्दी / िहन्दी ???[edit]

Hi Anant. Thanks for your msg. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but sir jee, maine "chhotee ee ki matra" hi to lagai hai, vo bhi "ha" ke upar, naa ki "na" ke! In fact the word appears correctly using my spellings (i believe u are talking about my modification to the Hindi bable mothertoungue template). Whereas in the earlier spellings, as also evident in the heading above , the "maatra" appears before a wierd dotted circle (in the 2nd version), rather than before the "ha". I don't know if it's an editor/font issue which is causing some varation in appearance, but I would request you to check the other templates for Hindi (hi-1 to hi-4), they are all (already) spelled the way that I used. Please feel free to revert on my talk page. Regards -- Amit 08:41, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It seems u are online right now. But what's happening to ur user page. I swear I didn't break anything :-( But the userboxes seem to be overlapping. It tried to fix it but it didn't help. Please look at that. I didn't do it :-0 Returning to the topic, I would seriously suggest ruling out browser/viewer/font issues. The "other" spelling that you cite (for hi-1 to hi-4) looks absolutly right to me. Do you see a dotted circle belwo the "ee ki matra" in ur browser when u spell it your way? --Amit 08:56, 9 July 2007 (UTC) In fact the Singh in your signature also looks spelled wrong, in devnagiri. I guess you are right, there's some problem with the fonts. I would still request you to consider reverting the hi-0 template to that like hi-1 to 4, because I believe that's more likely to appear "correct" on most browsers. Regards -- Amit 09:19, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Investigated?[edit]

Investigated? Why? Sarika won the award for Best actress. I can give you sources if you want. --ShahidTalk2me 14:14, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Are you serious? And when will these awards be announced? There are no still awards for 2005 films? Didn't Amitabh Bachchan win for Black? Is it sure that Sarika will win this award or we don't know now who is the female winner for a 2005 film? --ShahidTalk2me 14:33, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of images[edit]

Hi! I'm the one that removed all those images you had. I'm sorry, I know putting them up and coming up with those userboxes must have taken time and effort, but unfortunately the fair use status of those copyrighted images does not include userpages, userboxes, etc. For more information, read WP:USERPAGES.KeNNy 18:36, 21 July 2007 (UTC) Please do not include non-free images (copyrighted images lacking a free content license) on your user page or on any subpage thereof (this is official policy and the usual wide user page latitude does not apply, see Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria for details). Non-free images found on a user page (including user talk pages) may be removed (preferably by replacing it with a link to the image) from that page without warning (and, if not used in a Wikipedia article, deleted entirely).[reply]

Hi! You may consider joining it. Thanks! GizzaDiscuss © 07:35, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
