August 2014[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Lambeau Field added a link to an image on your computer, possibly in an attempt to display that image on the page. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request an upload. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary with every edit. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history.

The edit summary appears in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Hugh (talk) 17:53, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, Eric. The summary tool can be used to measure a Wikipedian's use of edit summaries. May I note, your edit summary percent is much lower than most. How about if we read edit summary together and discuss it here? I hope you are enjoying contributing to Wikipedia. Do you think you might consider adminship someday? Because if you did, and if you did not find community consensus to be a compelling reason to use edit summaries, you should understand that commitment to edit summaries is a factor. Myself, I find it is very easy to provide a quick, short edit summary. I also find that an edit summary makes it less likely an edit will be reverted. Thanks. The article lacked proper secondary sourcing and its content appears to be worth at best a note in the main article, Six Flags, which is where I have redirected it. Please consider that this is an encyclopedia, not a site where prospective theme park visitors can map out their day, so coordinates for sales points etc. are really not appropriate content. August 2014[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Kings Island. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. GoneIn60 (talk) 07:33, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Kings Island, you may be blocked from editing. GoneIn60 (talk) 07:42, 26 August 2014 (UTC) [reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Kings Dominion. GoneIn60 (talk) 07:50, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Eric.kirkey, I apologize for the harsh warnings above. After further reviewing the edits you were making, I can see that you were only trying to improve the articles mentioned. Therefore, I have retracted the last two warnings by striking them out. Obviously, you are fairly new here and trying your best to contribute. I suggest visiting the Contributing to Wikipedia article which should help explain some of the norms and practices many editors here follow, particularly the Discussion and consensus section which explains the approach to reaching a consensus when one of your edits are disputed, as in this case. Also if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or ask a question at Wikipedia's help desk. Thank you! --GoneIn60 (talk) 20:33, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Hi Eric Kirkey. I think the person over at King's Dominion was making the point that there's a separate article for WaterWorks and any major details should go there; the Kings Dominion section on WaterWorks is just mainly to describe it briefly and then provide a link to the main WaterWorks article. There wasn't anything wrong with your edits per se.

You're doing fine. Don't worry if some of your edits get reverted as you find your way around, nobody minds that. Thanks for coming aboard to help improve our amusement park articles and whatever else you've a mind to, and message me if you have any questions. Cheers, Herostratus (talk) 12:05, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit to Splash Works[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! Technopat (talk) 16:52, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
