I have again moved this to draft space - it is clearly not ready to be in the main encyclopaedia: it is written more like an essay than an encyclopedia article and has issues with citations and point of view. Please use the Articles for creation process to submit the draft for review once these issues have been addressed, rather than simply moving it yourself. - Hi Erica, I have to concur with Melcous. I'm concerned that this doesn't fit the style guidelines for Wikipedia. Here are some notes:
- The article title was "operation risk" but the article details different types of risk without saying what operational risk is or how they relate to it. Keep in the mind that there's already an article on operational risk, so there's no need for a new article on the topic. If this was meant to supplement the main article, then the sections need to specifically and only cover these types of risk as they apply to operational risk. There's no need to go into depth explaining the types of risk, as there should already be articles on all of these different types of risk. It's unnecessary to explain what they are. So for example, what you add should be more along the lines of "Operational risks can be impacted by other types of risk, such as business risk, as a company may choose to change how their team carries out a decision based on the new information that would impact the long term success of said decision." That's phrased terribly, but you get the idea.
- That said, these are all different types of risk and as such, make sure that it doesn't come across like they're being conflated to be the same thing. For example, business risk is the risks that stem from your business decisions while operational risk is the risk that stems from your team trying to carry out said decisions. One can impact the other, but it shouldn't be represented as the same thing.
- This needs more sourcing to back up claims, as much of this is unsourced. Keep in mind that we can only summarize what is explicitly stated in the source material. Also, I need to note that some of the sources you used would be seen as unreliable on Wikipedia. For example, Wikipedia cannot source itself and as such, isn't seen as a reliable source. The Forbes source is also unusable, as it was written by a contributor as opposed to a staff member - Forbes contributor pieces don't undergo any sort of editorial oversight or verification. They make sure that the piece doesn't have anything that would violate a general terms of service agreement and that's about it. This one you wouldn't have really been aware about, to be honest.
- With sourcing, make sure that you're using the strongest possible sources.
