Flo Jalin[edit]

To give you a full explanation of what's happened with your article:

I nominated Flo Jalin for deletion for two reasons:

Firstly, she does not meet the notability criteria for a Wikipedia article. The criteria for living people are given on this page, and specifically for adult entertainers here. Flo Jalin does not satisfy any of the criteria listed. Wikipedia is not censored, so adult material is not a problem; however, those other names you mentioned on the talk page are all well-known in their field (and outside it!).
Secondly, the article had existed before, and been deleted back in December 2006. The original deletion discussion is preserved here. This was the reason I chose a speedy-delete nomination rather than nominate it for a prolonged deletion discussion like those here (recreation of deleted material is a speedy-delete criteria).

I noticed that the article has now been deleted by an administrator... but not for either of my reasons above (although they still apply!). The admin gives "copyright violation" as the reason, because they discovered the text (or large chunks of it) had been reproduced from this website. This is a pretty major policy violation, as it has legal implications for Wikipedia. For future reference, Wikipedia's copyright policy is here.

I hope this doesn't discourage you from continuing to contribute to our encyclopedia. I have left a welcome message at the top of the page with links to most of the important policies; navigating all the guidelines etc can seem overwhelming at first, but most of it is common sense... and we've all been there! Notability of Flo jalin[edit]

A tag has been placed on Flo jalin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
