Welcome![edit]

Hello, Erick.llamas, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Image copyright[edit]

Hi, I saw that one of the images you uploaded, File:Norse godd.jpg, was uploaded with a Creative Commons license that would allow it to be copied and shared with attribution. The source given was a Pintrest link. However when I searched for the image I found that it was actually created by Korwin Briggs, who copyrighted it as "all rights reserved". This means that it cannot be adapted or shared and Briggs is the only person who can legally sell it in a commercial manner, unless he grants permission to another individual. We cannot upload this image under a more permissive license unless Briggs himself were to release the image under a CC-BY or CC-BY-SA licence, which most artists are unlikely to want to do since they would be unable to dictate how others use or change the image.

What this means is that the file will have to be deleted, as it violates Wikimedia Common's guidelines on images. I can help with this, if you like. One thing I want you to do is to review the training module on contributing images and media files before uploading any more images. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:35, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
