November 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to 4 (Foreigner album), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 17:35, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Get Off of My Cloud, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Tkbrett (✉) 13:54, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

December 2022[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at The Acid Queen, you may be blocked from editing. Tkbrett (✉) 14:07, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory or otherwise controversial content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Ian Paice. - FlightTime (open channel) 17:37, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

January 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm FlightTime. Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to Aerosmith even if you provide a/some source(s), you'll still need to start a discussion on the article talk page to allow editors who regular watch that page a chance to discuss the reliability of the source(s) you provided. One reason is, genre sources can easily be considered an opinion and not fact. Genre's are a touchy subject here on Wikipedia and without discussion/consensus, regardless of your source(s), your addition or removal will most likely be reverted. Your edit has been reverted and archived in the page history for now.

Unsourced genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive.

Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 20:52, 15 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Alex Chilton, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rock. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:04, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Minor" Edits[edit]

Hey there. I want to strongly urge you to review WP:MINOR, and even more strongly urge you to cease adding music genres to infoboxes while using the "Minor" checkboxes. Minor edits should be things that no one is likely to object to, such as correcting typos, and should never be used if there is any doubt to this. It is safe to assume that any change to music genres is never going to be appropriate to be labelled minor. CAVincent (talk) 04:29, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, glancing over your recent contribution history, you should probably just never use the "Minor" check box again. CAVincent (talk) 04:44, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Undefined sfn references[edit]

Hi, in this edit to Satellite Rides you introduced an sfn reference to "Brackett & Hoard 2004" but you didn't define it. You did the same here at Play with Your Head. This means that nobody can look the references up, and adds the articles to Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. If you could fix them that would be great. Genres in infobox do not use hlists[edit]

Please stop using hlists when you add genres. Template:Infobox song#genre specifies that when listing two or three items, comma separators are acceptable, but for lists of four or more items a normal bulleted list should be used. Tkbrett (✉) 12:40, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I also see you're back to genre warring only a few hours after being unblocked for exactly that. (Pinging Daniel Case.) Tkbrett (✉) 12:51, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
