Remittance company

I have no problem with you updating the number of branches on the UAE Exchange article and I have put this back at 650, but was reverting the changes to the lead that made it much to promotional and not WP:NPOV without good explanation. If you want to make significant changes to the article please read the NPOV policies and make sure that the new content follows that, also if you update data, please add the relevant sources so that it can be verified, see Wikipedia:Citing sources if you want some help on this. Thanks for your reply, i am very new to wikipedia so still learning on how to write an article, i will keep in mind to avoid writing it as a promotional way in future too, this page of uae exchange is my first and wanted to edit it as it has not much details about the company, i was just working on completely updating it, so once i do that can i share with you so you can guide me if its written in correct manner so that when i am writing on other pages it would help me in future as you have some experience working with wiki profiles. The latest changes that i made in the uae exchange page was reverted by you, it actually does not make sense. it does not sound like a promo, i had added what are the services that the company provides and you have have reverted it to the older version, can you please explain why so & what exactly do you mean by Promo...

UAE Exchange and promotional language

also to add on this, the company also deals with bill payments, which again you have removed stating promotional talk, it is not a promotional talk it is what the company does, dont just keep removing the entries from other participants assuming it is of promotional talk, do the research and make changes accordingly, atleast go through uae exchanges website: www.uaeexchange.com and see what are the services they provide.

Secondly, the "Key Company Developments" category that i added here had just stated the developement of the company such as which yr which of they product was launched, how can that we termed as promotional, i have never mentioned or stated that it is the best company or largest company or any other term that can be said to be of promotional value. Even if a few words are of promotional value you can remove them and not completely delete the edits that has been done. The edits carried out by me have been with lot of research and effort, for every revert you do the only statement you make is promotional talk, so i really look forward to your reply on this matter. I appreciate your efforts and please take this as constructive, but it would probably help if you look at other good articles about companies to get an idea what they normally contain and what they don't, look for any that are rated GA in one of the projects such as [1]. I have no problem with you adding bill payments, but you made it a broken red link. At the same time you changed the leading sentence to use global rather than specify the location. If you compare it to other articles about companies you will see that the its normal to specify the location of the head office and not use misleading terms like global. Also you should use third party sources, a company's own web site is not a reliable source for wikipedia articles. If a third party has not commented on it its probably not note worthy enough to be included in wikipedia. have a look at WP:NOTRELIABLE to get some more information. As for the key developments, seems to me just a repeat of the history section in bullet point format and would be better to include in the history section. In any case most are not note worthy or are already covered in the history section. Remember that all content must be written from a WP:NPOV which I feel that your additions were not. Thanks for the reply. I am taking this constructively, the only reason i posted this because the reason you mentioned in the revert was promotional talk but here you are saying it was removed because it was sort of a repetition, agreed on that so now i have made some changes and added the Key Development part in the history section, while removing repetitive information. Request you to please edit it if something you feel is not required but please dont remove the complete thing. Secondly i did not understand about you removing the bill payments, mayb i linked it to a broken link but only the link could have been removed not the entry itself. lastly i have done some research and about using global, it was done after looking at a few other profile such as Starbucks and Gulf Oil Corporation on wikipedia, so you tell me are they also wrong and if yes why has they profile remained. Because a global company means a company that has presence and many countries or maybe in all continents which uae exchange does.

It is recommended that you use paragraphs instead of bulleted lists as you have with key development and so the previous content was better than the list you added. In terms of global you have to be very careful and make sure its truly global and has operations in the majority of countries in the world. Unlike Gulf Oil, EUA is concentrated in a small number of countries and is far from being a global company. Many people use global today when they have internet access as it can in theory be access from anywhere but that hardly qualifies as a global company. It looks like UAE exchange is primarily based in the emirates and India with a small presence a few other countries. Please also look at the formatting as there is a Help:Wiki markup for lists that you should use. However I have left it for now in case you are still working to improve the content. In terms of undoing changes, changes are never lost as wikipedia as a very good history function and so its easy to redo changes. I tend to undo only if on balance the majority of the changes are of poor content otherwise I would edit the changes. Sargdub (talk) 03:35, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
