Link Spammer[edit]

This user has added 38 external Prism Media external spam links. See Talk:Penton_Media for a detailed and extensive list of the Prism / Penton spam exploits. (Requestion 20:11, 17 February 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Confused[edit]

I guess I don't understand this. I thought putting articles related to the subject at hand was acceptable. The magazines we provide are free, we don't sell them. So I am not sure if this counts as commerical or not, but I have seen other sites with ads on them, yet they are still up. So, I guess I am still a little confused why my posts were taken down and others are still up that were similar. If you could clear the air on this I would much appreciate it.

Thanks, Erpel13

Did you read the articles that the above links point to? They might expalin a lot to you. Specifically, WP:NOT and the advertising are the key items. I have an important question for you. Why did you add so many Prism Media external links? (Requestion 03:46, 4 April 2007 (UTC))[reply]
