Please refrain from vandalization on the Wikipedia page Han-Bin. The page references those who use the Korean name Han-Bin and is not restricted to birth name or ethnicity.

The infromation you have removed is both factual and appropriate for the page, and removal constitutes vandalism.

The page will continue to be corrected upon further vandalization. Thank you. Jayb.rd98 (talk) 07:14, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

See other listed korean name[edit]

Please refer to other listed korean name on wikipedia like like ji-min, seung-hwan, mi-na etc those pages include NOTABLE people with birth name only. The person you included is not a korean born and given name is not hanbin. He is also only a trainee at the moment with no discography or any distinguished achievement. Name inclusion[edit]

Please refer to other name pages, and note that pseudonyms and chosen names are included among the lists. For an example of this, please look at the page Bachman (surname) and note that Stephan King's imagined pseudonym is listed among others.

Hanbin is still a public figure, and among the small list of notable people with the name, he qualifies.

If you desire to change it once more, please engage in a discussion on the Talk:Han-Bin page, and we can reach a consensus there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jayb.rd98 (talkcontribs) 08:21, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Given names[edit]

By changing the useage of names on these pages you are suggesting a *major overhaul* of the wikipedia system. On near every page the names listed are people who use a given name, rather than born a given name. These include preffered names, ethnic names, stage names, psyudonyms, stage names and pen names. You would be hard pressed to find a page where one of these is not included.

That is because rather than to be used as a birth registry, the pages use is to show and direct users to those who use a certain name, and that useage is not always by legality or birth. This is found in both the Korean given names, as well as English given name pages.

Regardless of how they came to use the name, the individuals listed still use the name listed, and therefore are appropriate for the page. Rather than focus on the definition of “Given name” please refer to the usage of these pages, not only in korean language but across wikipedia. On the page Han-Bin, the individual listed still goes by the hangul 한빈,and therefore is approproiate for the page. If you look at the wikipedia page for “Given name” you would note that “Call name” also redirects there, and call name is a name someone is reffered to, in the case of multiple names. Which all of the above qualify as.

PLease, please engage in discussion before you edit further. I would greatly like to come to an agreement with you, but it is difficult when my attempts to come to an agreement are forced to be done through edits, rather than discussion. Jayb.rd98 (talk) 04:29, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Upon further inspection of the Wikipedia standard and guidelines for Name pages found at Wikipedia:Name pages there is no mention or requirement of a name being a birth or legal name, and simply mentioned that the pages describe those that use any given name. (As well as provisions for when names should be cross-listed, such as by popular association). By the standards set up, as well as everything mentioned previously, I cannot find a reason as to why his name would not be fit to remain on the page. The reasons you listed both do not come into usage elsewhere on the wiki, and are not given as actual rules or guidelines of these pages. Jayb.rd98 (talk) 11:13, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
