June 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from South American Biathlon Championship, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. BradV 17:54, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Federacion Venezolana de Deportes de Invierno has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:04, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of tags[edit]

Please stop removing clean up tags from pages that need them. the Baena page does have a large list of references, but no citations, so the {{citations}} tag is an accurate one. The 2010 Winter Olympics page is a future event and does have sourcing issues, so those tags are also accurate. As for Baena being in the games, he may have made the Venezuela team, but he can not have officially qualified for the Olympics yet as qualification in the sport has not yet begun. -- Scorpion0422 13:11, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced information[edit]

Please do not readd that statement to Cesar Baena without an outside source. I see many pages saying he's *preparing* for 2010, but so far as I know, no one has qualified for 2010 yet. We need a source saying specifically that. If you readd that while blatantly ignoring this or not responding to this, you may be blocked. --Golbez (talk) 02:43, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. After a brief comparison of the articles and sources it was clear the skier is today the main subject, so I moved César Baena to César Baena (footballer). If you wish to move Cesar Baena (skier) to César Baena (now a redirect) you are now free to do so, but you will probably need a WP:RM to do so because some people may think César Baena (now a redirect) should be a disambiguation page. If you need any help let me know. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:53, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cesar Baena moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Cesar Baena, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
