History of computer animation[edit]
Hi, I saw your edits to History of computer animation and they were pretty nice. I had ben trying to get to that for a while, but now that you have made so many improvements I think it is best to leave it mostly in your hands. It still needs more touch up, but it has been much improved by your edits. - Don't worry about the proper way to respond to message, the key issue is high quality content. Anyway, the usual way to respond to messages is at the end of the talk page in a new section. I moved your message there just to show how it is usually done. But no big deal anyway.
- And yes, the history of computer animation was "truly awful", but we must remember that Wikipedia is a work in progress. The basic articles on cities, rivers etc. are mostly in good shape now. So if I look up something about Chicago or Paris I am pretty sure it is accurate now. But the technical articles need real help. I once looked at supercomputer, and suddenly started singing "yesterday" because it was so outdated. But after 6-9 months I cleaned it up. That is how Wikipedia works. So if you set your mind to cleaning this up in 3-6 months that is fine, and then it will be there. Once these articles are cleaned up, they hardly change. Computer generated imagery used to be awful too, but now is somewhat stable. So my suggestion is to set a 3-6 month goal, then make it happen. There is no deadline, but it is fun to clean them up. Thanks for uploading File:Antics 2-D Animation infobox screenshot.png, which you've sourced to (computer screenshot). I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en
wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
