Well, I disagree. Having an entry in Una Platt's book is a strong indicator of notability. What I'm wondering, though, is what her WP:COMMON NAME is. Having briefly looked at some sources, it's either Bessie Dunn or Bessie Acland. Could you give that policy a read and report back here? Please ping me when you do. ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:01, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Are you in New Zealand?

[edit]

Kia ora, thanks for creating another interesting article on a New Zealand woman! I'm wondering, if you are in New Zealand, whether you know about the meet-ups that we have? There are in-person meet-ups in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch, and there's also a monthly online meet-up. We also have a public facebook page and a closed facebook group (for editors to help each other out and share information). If you'd like to connect with other NZ editors, we'd be happy to chat anytime! All the best, MM MurielMary (talk) 09:53, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kia ora, @MurielMary I'm currently overseas so I wouldn't be able to make meetups but I would love to connect online. Ngā mihi, Ewhite31 (talk) 17:09, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Great to hear! The next online meetup is on Sunday 5 Feb (see link here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/Aotearoa_New_Zealand_Online ); if you use facebook you can also find our public page and private group - both are named Wikipedia Aotearoa New Zealand.
