A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Exante Data/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:08, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

April 2023[edit]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Courcelles (talk) 13:15, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I do not and will not receive any compensation for posting any information on your site. I was not aware of your policy of not publishing companies and descriptions that may seem like advertising and perhaps my use of language was not appropriate and that is why I was blocked. I am a person interested in contributing a little more in the field of programming and economics as it is something that has been taking off recently and I think it is important to show people the uses of programming languages in the economic and social sciences. It seems to me that the combination of technology and economics can have great benefits for the world, for social welfare and can help policy makers to make much more informed decisions Exante Data (talk) 13:26, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Thanks for your honesty. I must inform you that you do indeed qualify as a paid editor under our rules; "paid editing" does not require specific payments for edits. Any paid relationship, including employment, triggers the requirement. Please also read conflict of interest as editing about the work of your company and your position qualifies as one. Please tell us how your future edits will comply with these policies and tell us any edits unrelated to your conflict of interest you might make. 331dot (talk) 17:45, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What is your relationship with Exante Data? 331dot (talk) 15:36, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I work at Exante Data but no one asked me to do this for publicity. In fact, I don't want to include anything about Exante Data, I just thought it was a requirement to write something in my "user description" the real page I want to add is the Python Economist (my current position) and a concept that we invented here and I consider is novel for the world of economics and programming, if you can check that post about "Python Economist" you can find that there is no advertising and also there are several academic references about the concept.
