Earl Cain

Hi. The Japanese Wikipedia lists three drama CDs for Earl Cain,[1] but Amazon only lists two (from what I can tell). Could you take a look at it? Also, could you find a ref for Daiwon C.I. as the Korean publisher? It's listed in the infobox and must have been overlooked :) Thank you! Kaguya-chan (talk) 15:25, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Are you going to summarize the rest of the episodes, too? In that case, I could do something else. ;) Regards, Paradoctor (talk) 16:58, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Am a little busy right now, but I'll get around to copyediting the article within the next few days. Kaguya-chan (talk) 17:04, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

I have both the UK and Japanese Brave Story DVDs. Unfortnately the Japanese DVD obviously has no English credits and IIRC the UK DVD doesn't either - it definitely had no cast information (which was disappointing - I recognise some of the voices but with no citable source I can't add the information) but I'll have to check (when I'm home and if I can find it - I just moved home) whether there are any translated production credits. Shiroi Hane (talk) 08:10, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
I've replied to your comment on Kaguya-chan's talk page. I haven't had a chance to check the DVD yet. Shiroi Hane (talk) 13:14, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
I've checked, and there are no translated credits on the DVD at all other than what is on the inlay, which I have listed on the article talk page. Shiroi Hane (talk) 12:58, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

<outdent> No problem. :) Thanks for catching ref mistake. Kaguya-chan (talk) 13:38, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Yen/Dollar

I know japanese people use yen, but what does the dub/subtitle on the english dvds use? Thats the issue, if the english dvds say dollar, the list should say dollar. I don't have the series to hand, so I can't check myself. Dandy Sephy (talk) 23:29, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

The episode say yen but I have the fan-translated version. I'm not sure what the episodes on the English DVD says. Extremepro (talk) 23:34, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

RE: Citation in Character section

I think it's more of a choice, unless it has to do with creation and such (or in character lists). For plot, it's not needed, definately. It'd save me tons of work, though. Eventually, it will come up if it's important (probably during a peer review) and then it can be further explored. For now, I'm working on referencing the cast and adding in the members for other characters, since casting does have to be referenced. By the way, do you remember the full names for some of the other characters? It's listed on the TBS website, but it's all in kanji, and I'm not sure if they included such characters as Ikebe, Hamanaka, and Akaboshi.

But, it's cool all the reception that's coming up for the series. It has awards and box office information, not to mention it may be possible to find reviews in other languages. WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 01:21, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Sorry! I just read the top of your talk page (can't believe I skipped over it). We can continue this on my page if you like. WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 01:23, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
I didn't write any of the character section. I don't even have the manga. I'm just focusing on the reception section at the moment. I'm working on another article at the mo. I look at the TBS site this afternoon. Extremepro (talk) 01:26, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Don't worry about the top of the talk page. I get this often. I'm fine with it as long as you don't do it too often :) Extremepro (talk) 01:26, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

AutoEd cleanup

Hey Extremepro, just dropping you a note that AutoEd currently removes *all* instances of double-spaces in a page's source, even those being used for source formatting in e.g. template calls. Most of the time, this is fine, but on pages with infoboxes or chapter/episode lists, this can seriously affect readability of the template calls in the source (which, in the case of chapter/episode lists, is basically the whole page). I've actually asked about tweaking this behavior, and it sounds like it'll get through, but no one's done anything about it yet. Until then, though, please review the changes AutoEd makes before saving, to make sure it's not removing any of this formatting whitespace. Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work! ^_^ ダイノガイ千?!? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 21:09, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Still interested

Hi,

I wonder if you are still interested to bring Red Colored Elegy into DYK.

Thanks. --KrebMarkt 06:34, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Yeah sure am. Extremepro (talk) 08:17, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Music vinyl single is now covered with sales and rank. No more big road block to DYK ;)
We have still some reviews that could be included but right that would do for DYK.
Why can't we use the fact that Red Colored Elegy song was created for the manga and it reached 7th in the singles chart in 1972. That is a good enough DYK IMO. Extremepro (talk) 09:07, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
To be accurate the peak rank is 7th and according to the Ja wiki it ranked 37th in 1972 Top 50.
That still a good hook. --KrebMarkt 09:27, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Agreed. We can nom the article for DYK under the "within-5-day" creation category because it's start class now. Extremepro (talk) 09:34, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Yea. lets go for DYK. We have been lucky in as the CD data comes from an analysis comparing single containing the word "Elegy" in their title. --KrebMarkt 09:42, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

No, I don't really care. I would, however, have preferred to wait until after the summaries get copyedited, since that aspect is the major reason why these lists fail when they do.-- 06:59, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Just saw the message on your user page - have courage, be strong, work hard, and best of luck with your final year! Yeah, BoS isn't too good on the more obscure subjects (like French) - it depends on what the rest of your year is studying as to whether you get a realtime response for help there. (eg. I did alright for King Lear, but for Ted Hughes and My Place, it was pretty dead.) --Malkinann (talk) 06:55, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Good luck. Can't help much more than that as France educational system is ways different. --KrebMarkt 08:14, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Which section were you referring to? Airplaneman talk 07:39, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
Awards and Nominations. Extremepro (talk) 07:47, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

Oh, I see. Why do you think are they better written out in prose? Airplaneman talk 07:59, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

Just my personal preference but I think the awards and nominations should be merged as prose into the critical reception section. Extremepro (talk) 08:14, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
I see. I don't see anything wrong with a list of awards, but then, that'd be my personal preference... would it be fine with you if it is kept like it is or would you really like to see it changed?Airplaneman talk 08:28, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't mind it that much. Just leave it as it is. Extremepro (talk) 08:33, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

Susan J. Napier

Howzat? I've scraped together a couple of reviews for Napier's 2007 book at WP:ANIME/REQUEST, if you feel up to creating an article for something that isn't yaoi... ;) --Malkinann (talk) 04:25, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

I'll certainly look at it. I kinda lost my creation drive from a few months back due to all the yaoi article requested (hope you don't mind me saying so). Anyway, creating book/people articles are a change from manga articles. Extremepro (talk) 04:44, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
No worries, I know that more of the same can get kind of boring - that's why I pointed out Napier's book. ;) The yaoi series are always there if you change your mind, but I'm not cut that you're stepping back a bit - what you have already done has been fantastic, (especially completing Yoshinaga's English-translated works) and I really appreciate that you have created so many articles about yaoi series.  :) --Malkinann (talk) 05:47, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Susan J. Napier.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Susan J. Napier.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 12:37, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Non-free pictures in BLPs

We usually can't accept non-free pictures in biographies of living people, as technically someone could go out and take a photo of Jason Thompson or Susan J. Napier and put it under a free license. WP:NFC#UULP The one vague exception to this rule is models like Agnes Lum, where she was famous for her appearance. The only reason why it's acceptable to have the non-free image for Yoshihiro Yonezawa is that no free pictures of him have been found and as he is deceased, no free pictures of him can be created in the future. (although eventually the image will fall out of copyright). User:R. Baley/Acquire a free image might also help. --Malkinann (talk) 23:26, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Kagome Kagome (manga). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kagome Kagome (manga). The article A-Girl has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Obvious failure of WP:N

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Oo7565 (talk) 03:07, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

I have nominated A-Girl, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/A-Girl (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:22, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

That's FANTASTIC!!! :D Even if you had your heart set on medicine, you could probably do a Bachelor of Science and then switch... It sounds like you've got a lot of options open to you.  :) Well done! --Malkinann (talk) 01:26, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
