Births
[edit]Some births are notable events of themselves, such as Louise Brown, the first "test-tube baby," and deserve inclusion in an Events listing. Matchups 16:13, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Weddings
[edit]Some weddings may warrant inclusion. Just off my head:
- Lady Diana Spencer and Charles, Prince of Wales on 1981 July 29 (I still have the stamps somewhere in the attic, I think...)
- Victoria, Princess Royal and Friedrich III of Germany (Hohenzollern) on 1858 January 25: first notable performance of Felix Mendelssohn's Wedding March.
- Ludwig I of Bavaria and Princess Therese on October 12 1810: the first Oktoberfest
- Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella of Castile on October 19 1469: dynastic union of Castile and Aragon that led to the formation of Spain.
- Henry VIII of England and his six wives: It's in every high school textbook of European history.
- I'd suggest mentioning some famous queen consorts like Marie Antoinette and Joséphine de Beauharnais (her divorce was more notable, though) of France, Catherine II of Russia (who later took over the throne !), Queen Noor of Jordan and Grace Kelly of Monaco, etc.
- Some of the marriages arranged by Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor that led to the Habsburg family becoming a powerhouse in European history may be good, too. But I'd hit the books before I say more on this.

Movies
[edit]For movies, IMO, if it isn't listed at Films that have been considered the greatest ever, the release date shouldn't be included. --PFHLai 18:30, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
