FilmForme,
My edits are all legit and not "all" copied and pasted from IMDb. I will, the things that were the "receptions" side of the posts were "directly" from the articles written by the publications. If you don't like those, that is ok, but they are factual and I feel it is necessary part of the story.
You continue to take out actresses and actors that are in the film, why you would do that makes me question your intent! Do you hate Christian movies? Do you hate Family movies?
I can promise you I know more about this movie and the individuals involved than you do. Nothing I published was "incorrect" why are you trying to hurt this movie by not allowing a full description of the movie and all the individuals involved? It sounds like you have an axe to grind with someone or this movie.
Again, I am only publishing "factual" statements about this movie and the people involved.
Everything I post can be verified as factual, if you would like to take this up with Wikipedia and let them intervene, I will be happy to participate.
Thank you for your understanding Faith & Family (talk) 19:03, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Faith & Family, I created the page for Miracle at Manchester. It would not exist on Wikipedia if I hadn't started a draft for it. I am not against the movie and I advise against making claims that are not relevant. It's obvious you have a conflict of interest now, so you'll need to disclose that.
Facts are only allowed with proper citations. Articles cannot include original research.
Some of your edits are helpful, but you are bulk editing making it difficult to see which edits are constructive and contain a neutral point of view, when so much of it does not. I'd recommend using the film's talk page to request edits in the future. If you have questions, refer to WP:Teahouse. –Filmforme (talk) 19:38, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello FilmForme,
I don't have a conflict of interest, I know the community where this happened because I live in that part of Southern California. I have seen numerous news articles and video clips of this story/movie and have followed this young man's story. That is not a conflict of interest. All I am trying to do is enhance the page, is that not what you want.
What I have entered is factual, Wikepedia is supposed to be an open form for factual information. If you look at the changes I made, all that I entered was correct and factual information. If I need to cite something properly, I will. In the "Receptions" section you already cited the source, I was adding content to that same source that is cited. That is allowed from what I have researched. If the source is cited, there isn't a need to cite it twice in the same quotes.
I do not want to fight or argue with you, that is not what I am trying to do. All I am trying to do, is add full and factual information to the page to give a more complete description of Miracle at Manchester. Is that something that you are in favor of?
Thank you for your response, again I am not trying to argue with you, just trying to find a meeting ground that works. I look forward to hearing back from you. My only goal is to put more descriptive comments out that are correct and factual. Faith & Family (talk) 20:03, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Either way, there are guidelines you'll have to follow. You can use the the talk page to request edits or if you'd like another opinion, you ask questions at WP:Teahouse. –Filmforme (talk) 20:44, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello FilmForme,
Sorry, I just want to be clear, like I said I am not trying to argue with you or fight with you. Are you saying you are not allowing me to make changes without requesting these edits from you?
Thank you Faith & Family (talk) 20:49, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve provided options to help your contributions be constructive. You are advised against directly editing, but if you feel that you must, I suggest making smaller edits. Filmforme (talk) 21:24, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Filmforme,
Can I ask you where you got the budget information that you posted of $125,000? The reason I ask is that I pulled the budget information of "$65,000" that I posted directly off the IMDb page which is usually pretty accurate. It is just such a large discrepancy, and the production company that produced the film JC Films Studios is apparently known in the Christian Filming community of doing strictly low budget films. From what the chat communities say, they are known for $30,000 budgets.
Thank you Faith & Family (talk) 00:03, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Filmforme,
Thank you I appreciate your help, and will absolutely do my best to adhere to Wikipedia standards. I have watched the movie twice and have read all the articles that have been published in San Diego along with the different news stations that have done stories on this young man. It is a truly inspiring story and all I am trying to do is allow people to see how inspiring the story actually is. Anything I contribute will be 100% factual and correct.
