Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, FgkaiseR5131, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was Florian G. Kaiser, which appears to be an article about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.

As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! The contribution about me is an addition to an earlier entry about the Campbell paradigm to which I would like to link it. After 30 years as an academic, I felt at least necessary to give a bio-sketch about me and my theory. What can I do to have the Florian G. Kaiser entry checked for inclusion in Wikipedia?
Best wishes,

Speedy deletion nomination of FgkaiseR5131

[edit]

Hello FgkaiseR5131,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged FgkaiseR5131 for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want FgkaiseR5131 to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Deletion discussion about Florian G. Kaiser

[edit]

Hello FgkaiseR5131, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Florian G. Kaiser, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Florian G. Kaiser.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|BluePenguin18}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

The bio-sketch is meant to enrich the entry about the Campbell paradigm. I would appreciate some suggestions on how to avoid deletion. FgkaiseR5131 (talk) 05:11, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is Qflib. I was part of the deletion discussion, which has now ended. Since the page has avoided deletion, can I suggest that from now on if you want an edit to be made, you simply suggest that it be made on the article's Talk page? Or you can make suggestions on my private talk page instead. That will comport most fully with Wikipedia's COI policies. Also, I have made a number of edits to try to improve the page and make it clear that the subject is notable. If you would, please have a look at the page as it is and let me know if there are any errors. Cheers, Qflib (talk) 20:28, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your support., Qflib.
I noticed two errors: my place of birth is not "Lohn, Schaffhausen", but "Lohn, Solothurn". I did not earn a B.S. and a M.A. from the University of Zurich, but a licentiate (or diploma).
Moreover, one other addition could be that "In 2002, Kaiser was elected as a fellow of the American Psychological Association" in Div. 34. Unfortunately, I am unaware of a public record.
Cheers,
Florian FgkaiseR5131 (talk) 09:03, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t follow you personal talk page; these suggestions should have been made either on the article talk page or my personal page. I only just now happened to come across this. Qflib (talk) 10:57, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
