If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Seyed Kamal Tabatabaee, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for spamming or advertising. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will probably not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

Hi Orangemike, this is an appeal to unblock my account as well as undelete Seyed Kamal Tabatabaee's page. I also noticed that a few other pages where I have made corrections have been notified of an upcoming deletion. My reason for the appeal is this: We live in Tehran, Iran. there are no management nor agents anywhere in middle east, except for a few of us who just recently started out. The articles you sometimes have of our celebrities are mostly incorrect - such as Mehran Modiri's birthdate and other info which I corrected, as you will notice- and incomplete. I am therefore adding truthful, correct and valid articles on these people on Wikipedia so that it can continue to remain a source of correct information on them. That I own a company - to me- is invalid, as am sure almost half of your contributors do. These are not ambitious advertising nor spam, they are researched, correct info. If you check the Farsi section of wiki you will notice that I have provided as much source and detail as possible, as all sources on these people are in Farsi, their native language. I don't think that deleting an entire culture's artistic talent from wiki is what anyone is after, only because they come from a country that either doesn't have as concentrated or complete an internet sourcing as some other countries or that there are not as many news articles floating around them. You will also notice that my IP may change from time to time, that is because a) I travel a lot for business and b) I need to use a proxy or VPN to be able to sign into many internet sites which are blocked in Iran. Kamal Tabatabaee is an award winning producer, and believe you me, my wiki friend and admin, these guys have enough to deal with out here with the government blocking and censoring them every step of the way without having one of the few valid sources of info on them - wikipedia- deleted altogether! Please unblock me and restore the page. I have finally finished reading through pages and pages and pages and pages and pages of 'how to's' in wiki and realized that maybe we should have had this discussion before my foray into wiki-editing land (and believe you me, if I could find someone else with the combination of English language and bio knowledge for these guys, I would gladly allow them to edit their wiki pages as it is taking me days and days and days to figure it all out). thank you in advance. tTandees Tanavoli 16:56, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Your username is the primary concern, as it violates our username policy. Usernames may not appear to represent a company or organization, nor imply any sort of official role. Additionally, if any of these people are clients of yours, you need to review our conflict of interest guideline before continuing. Content on Wikipedia must be neutral in tone and well referenced - some of your additions have been decidedly promotional. Hersfold non-admin(t/a/c) 18:09, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

{{unblock reviewed| reply = I did read the COI page, and it says: "Certain editor interests present a high risk of creating a COI. Editors with such interests are strongly encouraged—but not actually required—to declare their interests, both on their user pages and on the talk page of the related article they are editing, particularly if those edits may be contested. Editors who disguise their COIs are often exposed, creating a perception that they, and perhaps their employer, are trying to distort Wikipedia. When someone voluntarily discloses a conflict of interest, other editors should always assume the editor is trying to do the right thing. Do not use a voluntarily disclosed conflict of interest as a weapon against the editor." I did mention I was an agent, I did disclose my status, and not only do you delete hours and hours of my hard, honest work, but also block me in a way that I cannot even respond. please see my request to undelete the said page in jameswatson's talk page...I cannot even respond to them! Whatsmore, no one EVER sent me ANY message as to what I may be doing wrong. It was just BAM! deleted and blocked! judge and jury!! And if someone has had great acheivements, how is stating that a 'promotion'? if the user name is a problem, then great, I will change it (tho I did use my actual email! didn't realize I had to disguise my entire being to contribute to wikipedia). But to make such accusations that I am promoting and spamming is offensive. I have sources to back everything, EVERYTHING I have claimed on these articles. But they are in the native language of farsi. so next am going to be told that Iranian celebrities cannot have an English page??? Or does wiki actually prefer having a bunch of fans filling in wrong information than someone with the knowledge as to what is true and what is not? Tandees Tanavoli 18:46, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
