License tagging for File:Treehouse of Horror XIV.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Treehouse of Horror XIV.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:05, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Template:Treehouse of Horror. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. -- Cirt (talk) 08:58, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Which is precisely why I just sent consensus requests to all previous editors of Template:Treehouse of Horror who are still active. I know. Fixblor (talk) 09:02, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stop While I understand your intent is good, please stop canvassing the whole of Wikipedia on their opinions for this item. Magog the Ogre (talk) 09:38, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, that was a lot of invites, wasn't it. I should really go back to being a Gnome. Two of my simple edits just got inadvertently deleted along with the (apparently) questionable stuff. I apologize for sucking you into to this vortex of stubbornness. Fixblor (talk) 09:47, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lol, it's fine, but I've seen people blocked for that sort of messaging before. The best course might be a WP:RFC. Magog the Ogre (talk) 10:08, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

repeated unwelcome comments

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
