Duplicate articles[edit]

Please don't create duplicate articles like Restriction enzymes' cutting list and Restriction enzymes cutting' list. Just create the one. If you misspell it the first time, ask for help at WP:Requested Moves and someone will rename it for you. Shadowjams (talk) 04:00, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Restriction enzymes cutting list, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Restriction enzymes cutting list. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Re: List of homing endonuclease cutting sites[edit]

Firstly thank you for reporting the error to me. I'll update WP:AWB to add some additional validation around the moving of the references section. Now, the WP standards are for the references section to be before external links, so you'll need to put that back, and add another {{reflist}} at the end of the external links section to show that <ref> by itself. Italic titles[edit]

Thanks for italicizing the titles of the Chionodoxa articles I wrote. I didn't know about {{italic title}}, but I do now! In return, I'll try to improve the English in the introduction to list of restriction enzyme cutting sites. Peter coxhead (talk) 08:12, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've now made some changes to the article; please see the comment on its talk page, as there's one sentence I didn't really understand. (It's all better than my Spanish!) Peter coxhead (talk) 08:53, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, the title is also automatically italicized by removing the name parameter from the taxobox (example [1]). Sometimes that way is doubly helpful, by removing one of many equal 'common' names from the taxobox head and automatically putting the binomial name there. First Light (talk) 00:46, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please note: "Bryopsida" is a class, not a genus or species, so this edit to italicize the title is an error. --EncycloPetey (talk) 01:00, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Same for Noctuoidea. We have too many errors of this type already, so your algorithm is apparently buggy. Dysmorodrepanis (talk) 22:05, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Multicolumns[edit]

Hello Flakinho,

In regard to your edits with the summary of 'multicolumn', such as this one at Dillenia, they all display as only one column on my system. It was one of the reasons why I formatted them in the way I did (that they worked on my system of WebTV). It seems the longer a page is, the more endless blank space shows, and also they crash my system more often. The latter effect seems to happen more often when the page is very long (scrolling) than how many bytes it uses. Although it will also happen if the page has too many bytes.

I'm sorry for having such a cheap system, but as I am currently unemployed, I can afford nothing else for anytime in the near future. Can we find some better way we can both agree upon? Oh, one more thing: the reason I made the font of species at 2 was that you could fit more into the screen without it appearing too small. Of course, I can only speak of how things look on my screen and not anyone else's.

Anyway, great job with those {{italictitle}}s! Peace, Hamamelis (talk) 17:45, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hola Flakinho!

Don't worry about your English, my Spanish is at least a hundred times worse, I wouldn't even try to say more, since I never learned. Using "col-begin" and "col-end", etc. work fine, I've noticed. So, I'll change them where I find them. Yes, it would be crazy if using <small> crashed my system, I just meant when a page becomes longer, the more likely the length of the page would make it crash. There are many such pages on WP that I cannot visit due to this. I was saying, when the fonts are reduced, so is the page's length, naturally. But since <small> is equivelent to <font size=2>, I used that with the species, and used <font size=1> for the species' authors – to be consistant (even though editing the text itself is longer, the page length is shorter).

So, all I would suggest is using "col-begin" and "col-end", etc. in the future, if you don't object to it. Does this sound good(?) and am I making sense?

Peace, Hamamelis (talk) 19:04, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know, I removed the species list from the article; it's too bulky as well as very incomplete, and making one better will make the other worse. If you really, really want to include one I suggest making a separate article for it, since it will be very long. You can actually make it fairly quickly by doing a bulk download from TaxoDros, though that will give you a non-standard taxonomy (e.g. with Idiomyia for the Hawaiian species). Aucoumea[edit]

Please don't add {{italic title}} to a redirect, as you did at aucoumea; it causes the redirect to stop functioning as a redirect — and because it's a redirect, most users are never going to directly see the title anyway if it's functioning properly. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 07:25, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Saludos, --Dawn08 (talk) 12:21, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ocotea genus in Lauraceae[edit]

Hello, how are you? I have edited in Ocotea I saw that you edited it before. Can you help me to edit again Ocotea? Palecloudedwhite wipe out the article over and over again. In any case I thank you it very much. Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity[edit]

You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB.
