Sure! You are welcome to ask me for help any time :) WhisperToMe (talk) 19:18, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'll take a look at the article and see if it already meets the guidelines and/or what needs to happen for it to do so.
  • Usually when a tag is put up, one has to wait for the discussion to be completed before the tag is removed
  • In this instance an admin can't unilaterally remove the tags - he/she has to wait for the discussion to produce a consensus before the tags can be removed
  • WhisperToMe (talk) 06:45, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Okay, based on the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ehsan Mehmood Khan
    • The main issue is that, even though everyone acknowledges that Ehsan Mehmood Khan has written a lot of articles, they haven't been able to find any secondary sources discussing him in depth, in English or Urdu, so his article can't be included on the basis of Wikipedia's notability guidelines.
      • One editor said "The gist of it is that Khan writes a lot, but doesn't have anything written about him[...]" - So in order to save the article, one needs to find something written about Ehsan Mehmood Khan.
    • What is needed are secondary sources that discuss Ehsan Mehmood Khan in particular. If someone finds these sources, the article will be kept. Secondary sources include books and newspapers.
    • In regards to the "notability" tag and "sources" tag, those are related to the AFD. If sources are found and the AFD results in a keep, the tags can be removed.
    • I would go ahead and post the pictures of Ehsan Mehmood Khan to the Commons. They may be of use to the Commons themselves, and the Urdu Wikipedia may have different notability guidelines. There is a possibility that the Urdu Wikipedia could have an article on Ehsan Mehmood Khan.
    • If they have newspapers available in the library in your area in Pakistan, it could help. If you find articles in the newspapers archived there (on microfilm, or electronically) it can help. I am going to search library databases in the United States and see if I can find anything.
    • WhisperToMe (talk) 06:59, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I made some comments in the discussion: I asked if the Urdu name is spelled properly (the Urdu indicated as his name in the article only brings up Wikipedia and mirrors) - And I asked if searches have been done with an alternative English spelling. WhisperToMe (talk) 07:07, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • His Urdu name is spelled properly yet sometimes Ehsan Mehmood Khan is used in abbreviated form as Ehsan Khan or even Khan. Kindly help keeping this article. It shall be quite unfortunate if such a precious article is deleted from English Wikipedia merely due to egoistic feud of one editor User:Ehsan Sehgal who has created an autobiographic stub Ehsan Sehgal on himsef with assistance of his accomplices. You may check validity of this statement by checking the edit history, talk page and discussion on Biographies of Living Persons/Noticeboard/Ehsan_Mehmood_Khan. Thanks for taking pain.--FourDaysLife (talk) 08:25, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Also kindly check the references / extenal links provided in the article one by one yourself, please, if possible.--FourDaysLife (talk) 08:30, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Sometime today I'll take a look at the existing sources to see if there's anything that other editors overlooked.
      • How would the abbreviations be spelled in Urdu? That could help people locate additional sources.
      • WhisperToMe (talk) 08:31, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • I can't type Urdu. Really sorry for that.--FourDaysLife (talk) 08:33, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Ehsan Khan is like "احسان خان" and Khan is like "خان" --FourDaysLife (talk) 08:40, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Honey buns - a delicacy in American prisons[edit]

Hey Fourdays!

You might be interested in this:

In American prisons, honey buns are one of the few very sweet/delicacy foods allowed (in America, most prison food tastes bad), so many prisoners like to buy them. What is prison food in Pakistan like? What are the delicacies there? Have any of the Pakistani newspapers written about the prison foods? WhisperToMe (talk) 22:04, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Condolences for Peshawar[edit]

Hi! It's been awhile since we talked. I would like to give my condolences for what happened in Peshawar. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:47, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 14:28, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
