Can you please sort this guy out? He's been trying to delete Signs and is pissing me off cos he obviously knows nothing about guidelines (check out the talk page). I've lost patience and have finals. So, butt in when you please. Cheers. Rafablu88 (talk) 16:24, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Responded, possibly in a bit too much detail - feel free to edit me down a bit. Shoemaker's Holiday (talk) 11:37, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

By the way, I would suggest pulling in someone like User:Folantin for a parallel interview. I'm not sure if I count as a mainstream Opera Wikiproject member, but Folantin is, and has done some very, very good work. =) User:Voceditenore would be useful as well, as she's been a major contributor to Portal:Opera, among other great work. Question: Does excessive orphan tagging count as content creation/updating? --candlewicke 11:43, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

iMatthew

Hi Garden. Matthew contacted me privately and asked me to tell you that he's been quite ill lately, and that he's sorry to leave the wikicup stuff consecutively in your hands. He will be back as soon as he's better. Cheers, PeterSymonds (talk) 14:14, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh, and he also said that you're more than welcome to ask someone else to help in the meantime. Cheers, PeterSymonds (talk) 14:18, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

GA Sweeps invitation

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are a member of the GA WikiProject. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.

We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! Re: Possible Signpost interview

Hello, Fox. You have new messages at Voceditenore's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Sorry I haven't got back to you yet (busy). I'll try to answer a couple of the questions there over the next few days. Not sure I'll be able to answer the question about Purcell and Debussy because: (a) I haven't done much work on Purcell as yet and I don't want to claim credit for other people's efforts; and (b) there are some outstanding issues with the Pelléas et Mélisande page which need fixing before I'd like attention being drawn to it. There again, it depends when this interview is due to be "published". Cheers. --Folantin (talk) 11:12, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
OK, I've answered what I can and ignored the rest. Hope it's enough. Cheers. --Folantin (talk) 12:56, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi Garden, I checked out the draft version and it's looking really good! I made two very minor copy-edits [1]. But was wondering in light of Folantin's comments above, whether he's want Pelléas et Mélisande (opera) singled out in Shoemaker's answer:
"A lot of articles that probably could easily reach GA or even FA, like Pelléas et Mélisande, simply haven't yet been nominated."
Might be good idea to ask him. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 08:59, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, if this is going to appear within the next week then I doubt I'll have time to fix everything with the article. Just cut "like Pelléas et Mélisande". --Folantin (talk) 09:11, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Sarcófago - GA Review

Hey, Garden... I'm simply swamped with work, and I'm unable to adequately edit the Sarcófago article. If you choose to not pass this article on the review I'll be perfectly fine with that; I'll relist another time, when I have the proper time to work on it. Cheers. Re: Barnstar

Hey Garden, thank you for the barnstar, I appreciate it. :) Well, I'm just doing my part to help WP:Songs and the music genre groups. Also, because I had a great teacher to "show me the way". Another reason, they happen to be songs that I greatly enjoy listening too. Though, its a shame you think they're "rubbish". Seems like an insult, but I highly doubt you were going that route. :P Absolutely, I can help you. Just let me know and we can "arrange" something. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 16:05, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

I don't think there's a need for a message on this one. Exactly what it says on the tin. It's for both Silent Alarm and A Weekend in the City. At this rate, we'll even end up doing Silent Alarm Remixed (hint hint). Rafablu88 (talk) 00:14, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
I think we should aim for this link. Silent Alarm is good as it is. I think you should just send it to FA review. I'll be there to help handle edits. Then after Intimacy goes GA we can do this. Yes? Rafablu88 (talk) 12:16, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Having looked at other albums, I think we've done pretty well as it is. Our detail is immense. The other sections can be added later after FA if need be. I want to get this project done. Rafablu88 (talk) 12:28, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

My RfA

Thank you for participating in my "RecFA", which passed with a final tally of 153/39/22. There were issues raised regarding my adminship that I intend to cogitate upon, but I am grateful for the very many supportive comments I received and for the efforts of certain editors (Ceoil, Noroton and Lar especially) in responding to some issues. I wish to note how humbled I was when I read Buster7's support comment, although a fair majority gave me great pleasure. I would also note those whose opposes or neutral were based in process concerns and who otherwise commented kindly in regard to my record.
I recognise that the process itself was unusual, and the format was generally considered questionable - and I accept that I was mistaken in my perception of how it would be received - but I am particularly grateful for those whose opposes and neutrals were based in perceptions of how I was not performing to the standards expected of an administrator. As much as the support I received, those comments are hopefully going to allow me to be a better contributor to the project. Thank you. Very much. LessHeard vanU (talk) 14:25, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO!!! Come on! I spent so much time on it! Yes im talking about the SP song list! There's a similar article for the Res Hot Chili Peppers, so i made it! (here) and more Now I really want you to do the same to the Chili Peppers one atleast. Sorry for being so blunt (possibly rude), but if in a couple of days, i still find that article standing and not redirected, i'm undoing your change on the snow patrol one.

By the way, if you have suggestions for me to try bring the SP discography page to FL status, you are most welcome. Suede67 (talk) 09:49, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

I understand, I am still quite new here (still learning, and this probably is the biggest example). I made that article a couple of months ago, and only because there was an RHCP article for months, so i assumed its allowed. Anyway, i did archive my article in a sandbox.
I did a lot of work on the SP disco article as well, completed the music video section, checked the charting details of every single and album and sourced everything. Though inline citations are yet to be done. I'm watching it for vandalism as well.
It'll be awesome if we could collaborate! As you said the bsides and remixes can be put in the discography, i'll do just that in just a moment, already have the code. check my sandbox4 and tell me any more of it can be added to the disco article. Suede67 (talk) 10:25, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, the RHCP disco article is featured and has the list of bsides. im agreeing with you on the remixes part, but even the infobox for the disco article has space for the bsides count, and clucking the arrow takes you down. obviously it means bsides are allowed, isnt it?! So maybe the SP disco articles needs just that added and its prolly complete. Suede67 (talk) 10:32, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Hahaha, this is crazy! so what can we do? the article's complete then, right? If you ask me, the lead needs a re-write, the "other section" as well and the record label name needs to be sorted out, apart for inline citations of course. Just tell me what can I do to make it closer to FA. And what is your opinion on this? Does it deserve a separate article? You can leave you comments here. Suede67 (talk) 10:38, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Haha, that's what they said, but they also said it doesnt even need a separate article and can be merged the Snow Patrol. You think the same? Is there a word limit? Because there are stubs around that I dont see getting expanded, never. Suede67 (talk) 10:49, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, now I get it. So we should merge that? What do you say? Everyone in the FL discussion felt that too, by the way. But one changed his mind when I added the IFPI awards. Suede67 (talk) 10:54, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Glad you say that! It'll be great if you add your word in there, need all the support. I have just a few more questions, if you have the time -
  • If I complete this article and post it, what are the chances someone will nominate it for deletion? I've heard of articles on newer bands/less famous bands getting deleted just because they're "not notable enough". But IMO, the doses are notable, because SP's founding member and ex-bassist started it. Anyway...just want to prevent potential disappointment.
  • In the "music video" section on singles' articles, there's generally a description of what we see. There's no way to cite this, obviously, but i see these everywhere, is it okay?
  • If you say yes to the above point, will it be possible for you to write a description (or expand in any way) this? Or any SP single, if you please. Suede67 (talk) 11:05, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Thank you so much! That's a relief really. You're also welcome to make changes in the little doses sandbox, if you're interested. Thanks for your help and time! See you around. Suede67 (talk) 11:13, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
